Did you ever see the German movie “Der Untergang” (”Downfall” in English), about Hitler’s final days? It began with his last birthday, on April 20, 1945, and ended with the surrender of Berlin to the Soviets on May 2. Hitler killed himself before it was over, on April 30.
I did see that. It was excellent.
