When Barack Hussein Obama Minimized the Holocaust (vanity)

Anyone remember this from the Cairo leg of the Obama 2009 Apology Tour:

Obama equated the Holocaust to Palestinian “dislocation.” In his words: “The Jewish people were persecuted. . . . anti-Semitism . . . culminated in an unprecedented Holocaust. . . . Six million Jews were killed. . . . On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians — have suffered in pursuit of a homeland.” This parallelism amounts to the fictitious Arab narrative that the deliberate mass murder of six million Jews for the crime of being Jewish is analogous to a Jewish-driven violation of Palestinian rights.

In reality, not Hussein's strongsuit, there is no equality between the two events, unless you're arguing the death toll from the Holocaust was no greater than the Palestinian refugee situation. Putting something "on one hand" and then another thing "on the other hand" implicitly equates them.

yea, old article, but same hypocrisy; its only wrong when Republicans make a mistake talking about the Holocaust, but not Democrats.

Spicer isn't that good, independent of what he said today. He's should step aside for someone more seasoned; he's clearly not cut out for the job. Apparently, his mother's maiden name was "Grossman;" he could be a self-hater.

However, for the left to act like liberals haven't made ill-conceived Holocaust-related statements is disingenuous at best, mendacious at worst.

Or how about James Zogby, a man who Obama appointed to a religious freedom council, calling the war in Gaza some sort of "Gaza Holocaust," which implicitly denies the Holocaust because its well known that the Gaza war didn't cause such death in scale nor scope as the Holocaust? Alan Dershowitz did a good job calling this out.

Time to call out liberal hypocrisy once and for all on this stuff.

A substantial portion of the Democratic party base- the Palestinian wing of the party- either denies there even was a holocaust, or if admitting there was, thinks Hitler didn’t go far enough.

“Around the world, the Jewish people were persecuted for centuries, and anti-Semitism in Europe culminated in an unprecedented Holocaust. Tomorrow, I will visit Buchenwald, which was part of a network of camps where Jews were enslaved, tortured, shot and gassed to death by the Third Reich. Six million Jews were killed – more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today. Denying that fact is baseless, ignorant, and hateful. Threatening Israel with destruction – or repeating vile stereotypes about Jews – is deeply wrong, and only serves to evoke in the minds of Israelis this most painful of memories while preventing the peace that the people of this region deserve.”

“On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people – Muslims and Christians – have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. For more than sixty years they have endured the pain of dislocation. Many wait in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, and neighboring lands for a life of peace and security that they have never been able to lead. They endure the daily humiliations – large and small – that come with occupation. So let there be no doubt: the situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own.”

“he’s clearly not cut out for the job.”

I agree...I think the guy is a warrior for Trump, but he is becoming THE story way too much. Yes, the MSM is out to get him, but he clearly is not up to the challenge. Trump has been loud and clear that he will only put the most qualified people in place.

I watched the whole thing and he turned himself into a pretzel trying to backtrack on his statement. It was a very, very foolish thing to say, but he should have just stopped and in mid sentence said “forget it, it was a bad analogy” and moved on. You could see the torture in his eyes and it’s not the first time he has found himself in that situation.

Almost all press secretaries keep their answers short and to the point, but Sean tends to ramble on and on and on. Sometimes I end up yelling at the TV....just shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He does need to go, I’m sorry to say and this should be an easy way for him to step down without causing Trump anymore grief.

“Does he know something– is that why he’s not around?”

My thought was that he got wind that the Rice drama was coming down; that Nunes had the goods not only on her, but Clapper and Obama. And now the Syria/chemical weapon story is proving his lying and incompetence. He’s a spineless scumbag...now we find out he’s going to Germany to hang out with his favorite muslim lover. He’ll stay away as long as he has to.

If the President gets his healthcare bill in the House, it will be another huge part of his so called “legacy” that will be circling the drain. After that there is nothing good left for him to point to after eight years.

Think about it...he’s writing a book about his accomplishments over the past 8 years, but by the time that book gets published there will be nothing left but lies and false narratives. After just 100 days, President Trump will have reversed almost everything he claims to have accomplished in 8 Years!! And the American public is seeing this, even his own voters, and wondering what the hell was the past 8 years all about???

That’s why the Schumer and Pelosi are having so much trouble with their base...they are **ssed off:)
