Agreed on all points, but I'll even take the minor compromise of allowing people to choose "If you love your ObamaCare, you can keep your ObamaCare" (which takes 98% of the Dam whining out of the equation), and if you want out, you can go to the free market for competitive offers from regular health insurers. The 80+% who were screwed over by ObamaaCare can get back to reasonable rates (saving them thousands), and those 10-20% parasites who need to continue leeching can do so (which will be an expense, but to get rid of ObamaCare, it will be worth it). My one extra point: NO ObamaCare option for those without legal status in the US.

How does that not get majority approval, from both sides?

That ryan wanted to insure illegals makes me sick to my stomach.

As for the 20 percent who will stay one obamacare, the insurance companies are still going to make up that money by hitting us, no?

Well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.

</Big Lebowski reference>

Seriously, though, I appreciate the civility.

I personally find it hard to believe that after he fought against and won against both the GOP and the Democrats and the media and all the leakers, Trump would be easily deceived by a weasel like Ryan, especially after all the stuff Ryan pulled during the campaign.

As for the bit-by-bit that I was talking about, I wasn’t referring to step 2 and step 3 at all; I was still referring to the original Ryancare bill. What we originally saw wasn’t the final product; had it passed in the house, there would be many more rounds of negotiation, each of which was a chance to dismantle an unacceptable part of the bill and put in what conservatives wanted, with little to no risk of still stopping an unacceptable bill in the end.

As for attacking the HFC, well... They DID blatantly lie to President Trump’s face about their support of the bill. I imagine that if they had been direct about ALL their demands from the beginning or just refused to support the bill at all instead of putting on a show, it wouldn’t have turned out like it had.

But hey, that’s just a theory.

Hey, I’m not one of those ‘healthcare is a right’ people.

Though I do believe that incrementalism is the best way to get it done.

The problem being our fighting over how LARGE of increments, and what’s acceptable, and what’s not.

In my opinion.

Ryan is a fool and his stupidity has resulted in Obamacare remaining the law and people having to pay tons and tons of extra money for coverages. This fool is responsible. He needs to resign as Speaker and then quit the House all together.

I want a straight repeal, but the Republicans in Congress won't force their leaders to do that. In theory, that can be done with Reconciliation, with Cruz saying the Senate can do this.

The House and Senate Republicans voted for their leaders. They are to blame for what their leaders do or don't do.

Give Trump a “repeal,” and he would sign it. Trump believes Ryancare is better than 0care and he can work with it, though.

Obamacare would have remained the “law of the Land” but with a different name- Trumpcare.

Good. Then you can pay for taxes for health care and leave me out of it :)

There is NEVER a chance of a government agency not getting HUGE and out of control.

Let the states decide.

Govt shouldn’t even have the power to decide at the federal level

it was NEVER given to them in the constitution.

Oh, trust me, I agree with you.

It’s just a question of HOW is best to do it.

Just let the states set up their own medicaid or whatever.

AT LEAST is you don’t like the way your state is doing something, you can move.

When the FED does something you hate, there’s no where to go! :)

ANY change has to start with YUGE prison time for medicaid/medicare fraud as it is estimated to cost HUNDREDS of billions a year.

I dont understand that. I have united and they are good but anything more than a cold and they want documented proof, x rays, MRIs, sonograms, whatever.

The feds should be doing that.

Was NEVER supposed to be a full time job making 170k!!!!

:)

Come on man!!! (Not you)

With credit cards to charge whatever to US, free trips to all over the world.

Too many perks to list.

Let congress meet four weeks a year and for emergencies.

Poll: The AHCA fiasco has hurt Paul Ryan, but not President Trump

CBS ???

Really ??? Getting a little desperate, aren't you ?

If that's what the poll says, then we know that it's even better news for President Trump, because CBS obviously slants things against the President as much as humanly possible.

So I don't think it's Trump20162020 who is desperate, but rather someone who apparently can't stand to see good news for the President...

>Maybe President Trump’s plan all along?.....the level of hate thrown Trump’s way on this forum the last week has been atunnung.

The #nevertrumpers all crawled out from under the rocks they been hiding under since they failed to get Hillary elected. It’s time to toss them all overboard. We don’t need traitors in our ranks.
