If you had to, you could melt your Kruggerands and make smaller pieces of gold. I watched a jeweler melt a gold bracelet. It was very easy to do with a blow torch.

Easier to buy a electric scrap melter and make your own molds, especially if you plan on doing this longterm. Or build a jet furnace and buy a crucible.

I am looking at induction heater coils to melt. Saw graphite crucibles on Banggood for $3 and free shipping.

Melting is generally a bad idea, in general. Cutting coins allows easier identification, but having different denominations is best.
