There is no other way to rebuild the house that was torn down by the Unaffordable Care Act.
In my commentary this past Sunday, I broadly explained why there is no before the Unaffordable Care Act to go back to. Maybe it was too broad, because some Senators and House Republicans are still saying the American Health Care Act does not go far enough on delivering what was promised to the American people.
Republicans promised to repeal the UCA, but they did not say how. The House Republicans came up with a three-phase approach to get as much of the UCA repealed as possible, as fast as they can, while avoiding legislative procedural delays.
I agree with you a lot Mr. Cain, but I do not agree on this. It needs more work.
"Indeed, since Obamacare lacks severability clauses, I see no reason the entire bill couldnt be repealed via reconciliation. Elect a Republican House, Senate and president in 2012 and Obamacare is 51 and done."
Like hell.
I like Herman but he’s wrong here.
Ryancare isn’t repeal, it’s rearranging of Obamacare.
No federal agencies created by Obamacare are eliminated, nothing stops the federal government from collecting and keeping all medical records.
How can we afford to keep expanding Medicaid?
DAMMITDAMMITDAMMITDAMMITDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHATTHEHELL DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET IT TO SINK INTO THEIR HEADS?????????????
REPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT’S WHAT YOU RAN ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Republicans did run on that, but Trump did not. The Republicans have painted themselves into a corner.
I really appreciate this story, it helps to explain some of the confusion about this issue.
Mmmm K.
Still needs work
Do Congress critters have to live under it? IF NOT, then NO!
We don’t need repeal. We need to work like hell to make it look like we’re trying to pass a bill. Democrats will obstruct, and Obamacare will continue to circle the drain until it gets so bad we can pass anything we want after 2018. In the meantime trump can concentrate his fire on the deep state. Hopefully he’s playing the Dems with current HC bill. Or not.
ALso, if you are so wealthy that it does not matter to you what you pay or you are now on Medicare or you are getting a subsidy- YOU DON’T GET TO WEIGH IN ON IT! Because it doesn’t hurt you like it hurts the rest of us!!
That’s a plan I like if that is what they are trying to do, but I am not sure that is the plan though. We will see. Just as long as they do not pass that plan as it sits.
