How about one that's actually two pistols welded together? Hickok45 does some close range shooting with this double barrel 1911 pistol.
Hickok45 got another chance to make double holes with each shot using a double-barreled 1911 pistol.
The pistol is actually two pistols in one welded together. Named the 2011 Dueller Prismatic this double barrel beast fires two .45 ACP cartridges with each pull of the trigger. Two large holes appear side by side in targets with each single pull of the trigger. Now, that is pretty slick. Remember, a single full metal jacket .45 ACP slug weighs, on average 230, grains. Imagine the power of two simultaneous hits from this hard hitter. See the dual barrel 1911 pistol here.
A writer who knows what semi auto means?
I’ll take two Kimbers and call you in the morning.
Two of them.
Saw these a few years back. An interesting gimmick with no useful purpose. But fun is fun.
I have enormous fun with my 1943 bone stock, military, Remington Rand 1911 A1. Nice parkerized piece with low ‘mileage ‘.
A Ruger Mk II and lots of boxes of 22LR?
I viewed Hickock45’s Vlog on this double 45, and it covered both shooting and field-stripping the thing. After Hickock laid out all the tedious pieces holding the two guns together, I came to the conclusion that there were just too many things that could go wrong for this firearm-curiosity to serve as any sort of practical weapon.
Hickok 45...
Rocks!
Both me and my daughter have Kimber 1911s.
She got hers first, and I couldn’t resist after I tried it.
Wow - I just realized it has two barrels!
Cool!
I have some Kimbers. Their current batch of pistols unless you buy a high end one are not the quality they used to be.
Like my standard Colt Series 70 model 45. Did back-fit it with a flat mainspring housing and had slide ramp re-profiled so that it would feed hollow point ammo.
My Gold Cup Series 70 is in semi-retirement.
After tens of thousands of rounds, too many small parts starting to fail.
Sig P220 Carry SAO is my primary now.
“Gold Cup Series 70” - love mine. You might consider getting a smith to replace some of the inners. I have 3. 1 new in the box for my first grandson.
I just gave myself a nice birthday present. A Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite. Has a threaded muzzle that’ll accept a can. Anticipating the passage of the Hearing Protection Act.
My Dad had a Ruger Mk II. 6 inch, light barrel.
Learned to shoot with it.
Got a black eye because the slide hit me (I was very small and held it too close...).
He had the barrel threaded, too.
Wish I could find it.
What I really like is the one-button takedown. Had a Mark III years ago that obliged me to invent a whole new dictionary of cuss words to use when trying to put it back together. Not Ruger’s finest engineering hour.
Looks like it failed to return to battery after that shot.
A guy at the range said a Kimber needs 500 rounds pumped through it before it's reliable. So, I bought 500 rounds of high-quality .45 ACP ammo and will take it to the range again. We'll see what happens.
A Glock 10mm with 15 rounds. Yep.
