Justin Cohen, a contributor to the Huffington Post and former member of the education policy committee for President Obama's 2008 campaign, stated that his goal for 2017 is to have white people realize that we're all on the "racism spectrum" and that white people need to stop being so "sensitive" about being called racist.
His article, titled "Three New Years Resolutions For White America," detailed what he is working towards in the new year.
"Resolution #1: We resolve to stop being so damned sensitive about the word racism," Mr. Cohen writes. "Racism warrants discussion, but White people put too many conditions on the discussion of the phenomenon... We do not have the luxury to orchestrate conversations about racism so that theyre more comfortable for tepid White people."
To this end, all white people need to understand that they are, at least, a little racist against people of color.
"Resolution #2: We resolve to realize that all White people are participating in racism," he writes, saying that people born a certain race automatically have a specific attribute.
"Thats right, I said all. Sorry to burst your bubble, White lady wearing an Assata Taught Me t-shirt," Mr. Cohen explains. "The majority of our people sided with the Ku Klux Klan to elect an overt bigot as president... All of us are on the racism spectrum until further notice."
Mr. Cohen's third resolution is to "resolve to organize our people around anti-racist ideas."
He writes, "For centuries, being White in America meant reaping unearned power and advantages, relative to people who are not White. Americas power structure, to an almost comical degree, still reflects that version of Whiteness."
Mr. Cohen concludes, "Anti-racist White people must continue to make racism unacceptable, otherwise the White supremacist vision will continue to build power. And win."
DILLIGAF
The left is revealing what’s on its mind. It wants to eliminate Whites (Christians, Jew) after taking all their money and giving it to those who will consistently vote democrat.
This will not end well for these jerks when whites stop being sensitive to being called racist, but instead say, “ I’m racist? Do something about it!”
You're right Justin. "Your people" did it for years from roughly 1868 through 1960. And continued to do it at the state level to keep re-electing Dixiecrats until the 1970s.
Martin Luther King Jr. would be so proud.
Hmmmm...what a maroon.
Someone needs to tell Mr. Cohen that he doesn’t get to make the rules and expect everyone to just fall in line. I doubt if there are many people sitting around waiting for him to express an opinion on anything.
I’ll stop being “sensitive” about being called a racist when this pansy-ass guilt-monger stops being offended at being called a weeping sphincter.
Well, contribute nothing but hate and destruction.
BWHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA.
It takes a racist to say “all white people are racist.” But, the Democrats have always been the party of racism. They just flip-flopped on who to hate.
This is his way of making excuses for his own racism, and hiding from the fact that conservatives are probably significantly less racially obsessed than liberals.
It’s OK, Justin, due to your fine liberal work I’m no longer sensitive about being called racist. That’s what you wanted, right?
> Im racist? Do something about it!
That’s about where I am.
So lets get this straight. This guy says that he can look at the color of my skin and determine that I have a character flaw because all members of my race have that character flaw. And that make ME the racist...
I belong to the human race, Justin. You should think about joining it! ;-)
I’m Celtic....we are the oppressed so I can’t be racist
And no I’m not black irish
Oh the mussies are going to throw him off a roof
