Almost two weeks after Donald Trump accused Barack Obama of surveilling him during the campaign, journalists and Congressional committees still have yet to see any evidence that it happened. Trump told Fox News host Tucker Carlson last night to be patient, because the evidence will emerge very soon and that Americans will find very interesting items in the next two weeks. Carlson warned Trump that his own credibility will be on the line:

Trump told host Tucker Carlson that the administration will be submitting things to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence very soon. The president added that he will be, perhaps speaking about this next week and predicted that youre going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next 2 weeks.
When asked by Carlson why he tweeted about the alleged phone tap before producing evidence, Trump said his definition of wiretapping covers a lot of different things.
That really covers surveillance and many other things, he said. Nobody ever talks about the fact that [the words wires tapped] was in quotes [in the tweet], but thats a very important thing.
Well get evidence to support his tweet in the next two weeks? In politics and casinos, thats known as doubling down. Carlson pointed that out later in a discussion about his Twitter activity, but Trump remained sanguine and argued that Twitter gave him a platform to set the record straight:
When Carlson countered that Trump devalues his own currency if allegations he makes on Twitter turn out to be untrue, the president responded, Well, lets see whether or not I prove it.
If I dont do that, I wont get my word out, because when I say things, the press doesnt cover it accurately, Trump later said. If theyre not going to do me the honor or the public the honor of spreading my word accurately when I can reach that many people, Twitter is a wonderful thing for me, because I get the word out.
Theres some value in that to be sure. Ronald Reagan used the breakout of cable media talk radio to get past the establishment media in his day, as well as using his natural charm and stage presence to his advantage. But Reagan didnt make allegations without a solid foundation at the moment on which to base them. If Trump wanted to expose some illegal or unethical surveillance practices and he was within a couple of weeks of having evidence to back him up, why not wait for the couple of weeks to go by and then offer the evidence along with the tweet?
Note too that Trump makes clear that, if evidence emerges, it wont be about literal wire taps, transforming that part of the allegation from a double-down to potentially a modified limited hangout. He tells Carlson to pay attention to the scare quotes in the tweet, a point that others have raised as well. If it turns out that the surveillance intruded on legitimate campaign activities, then the issue wouldnt be the method. If, on the other hand, it turns out to be the already-disclosed investigation of the bank connections (which turned out to be a bust anyway), then that wont really back up Trumps tweet claims. In other words, stay tuned.
Carlson starts off by talking tax returns with Trump, who denied that he had his own return leaked. Certainly not from the White House, Trump replied. I dont know where they got it
but its illegal, and youre not supposed to have it.
Sufficiently baiting the trap....
Is this why Obama is in Tahiti ,Hiding ?
Well, Hitlery is still around. Let them squirm..
“But Reagan didnt make allegations without a solid foundation at the moment on which to base them. Besides, his Tweet had the beneficial effect of largely shutting the media and Dems up about “Russia hacking the election” (which was a bogus claim from Day One). This is what is known as turning the tables on one’s opponents - something that Trump is very good at doing.
Notice also that he never makes claims that can be backed up - i.e. he doesn’t bluff or BS. That should make a lot of people in the Deep State very nervous. Me, I’d submit the evidence, and have my A.G. immediately move to indict a few dozen of the Deep State Obamazoids for violations of the Secrecy Act, the Internal Revenue Code, etc., etc. Jail time, loss of job and pension, YUUUUUGE legal bills, the whole schmear. Make examples out of them, so that the rest will be very reluctant to stick their necks out for Obama, Jarrett and Soros.
Remember, Trump is 10 moves ahead in a game of 3-D chess, while his opponents are still thinking about their checkers moves.
“Notice also that he never makes claims that can be backed up....”
should be
“Notice also that he never makes claims that CAN’T be backed up....”
President Trump has this fishing pole, it has a big hook on the end, with some delicious bait and bingo, when everything is over and done and said, he pulls out the pole and guess what fishes are all over the hook...you got it...and that is exactly how President Trump plays his hand...
Notice that they are all in a twist about evidence of the wiretapping, but no so much in a twist over hard evidence the Russians hacked anything, which they have yet to produce.
And they fall for it every time.
That is Exhibit A.
Watching live press conference and Spicer is doing great hitting back at the fake news.
He’s fixin’ to get ready to reveal it.
But Reagan didnt make allegations without a solid foundation at the moment on which to base them
So while the Rats have been chasing the Russian Boogie Man,Gorsech is set to have His hearing Next week.
I’ll be great about the time the Rats think they are going to go on the offensive and attack him and have the Press do all the dirty work, boom out comes the evidence that A)Bambi’s admin. leaked classified material (illegal) to the prestitutes and B) The REquest for such materials came from Lynch, the day after Meeting with Bubba Clinton on the Tarmac.
They have wasted precious time they could have spent demonizing him. The enemedia is so frazzled, they aren’t able to herd the sheeple as they usually do. They keep tilting after endless windmills.
I disagree with the article that monitoring the computers would not be a big deal. I read about the nonsensical theory behind that connection in the New York Times many months ago. To use that to investigate Trump or his campaign in any way whatsoever is an abused.

As a candidate and later President elect, he received Secret Service protection. Since he was based in Trump Tower during that time, the Secret Service would have had ongoing surveillance of the people coming and going and of the building (Trump Tower) including utilities and the area surrounding the building. The Secret Service is part of homeland security and ultimately is a WH agency.
