Which just goes to show nonsense has a long shelf life.
You’ve probably heard that Kellyanne Conway “violated ethics standards” by supposedly using her position within the White House to “hawk Ivanka Trump’s products.” Only a person bending over backwards to disregard all context or common sense could possibly accept this statement as true, but hey, there are a lot of people like that in Washington D.C.
To listen to the coverage of this, you’d think Conway blatantly abused an opportunity to go on television to deliver a shameless commercial for Ivanka’s stuff when she should have been talking about the issues of the day, and that she somehow abused her position of power and influence to muscle people into buying said products.
how about hill and billl acting as unregistered foreign agents being paid millions for selling uranium one... to the russians... and podesta bros russian ties and then contributing to the clintoons...
Like the refugee executive order, this is 100% politics and 0% substance.
A look into Walter Shaub’s background might turn up information explaining why he continues with his idiocy, but that would probably be just what he wants to document his views of Republican perfidy. So, I guess, the best course of action is to ignore him.
Maybe Kellyanne should start wearing Ivanka’s products in public.....

The gravamen of the statement is whether it inured to Kelly Ann’s financial benefit, i.e., quid pro quo, which it obviously did not.
Conway should go shopping with friends and buy only Ivanka products, and make a big deal of it, to tell the Office of Liberal Ethics to f-off. Trump should also ridicule them.
I still haven’t figured out why we need an “Office of Government Ethics” in the District of Corruption. Being unethical is what politicians do best. What the hell do those clowns do all day when they’re not being outraged about Kellyanne Conway?
I think these “Office Of Government Ethics” bozos are just pissed that they didn’t get a cut when the sales of Ivanka’s products took off.
