You’re right about Trump. He’d have ~zero tolerance for brownshirt tactics. It underscores the desperation on Obama’s side, that they wouldn’t anticipate his reaction. He would crush them like bugs.

What inhibits a more general recognition of Obama's aping of Nazi tactics is (1) the Marxist inspired fiction that the Nazis were on the right. (in reality they were only to the right of the Bolsheviks; but well to the Left of the Social Democrats;

(2) The racial narrative, which takes actual policies out of a broader context, and hence distorts them;

(3) The fantasy that Obama & the Leftwing of the Democratic Party, actually give more than a compulsive--but still calculated--gesture for the rights of minorities & Civil Liberties.

To see what has been really going on, one has to recognize that when you are dealing with those with little or no moral compass, virtually everything is driven by tactical not philosophic considerations. The only thing that is consistent is an unacceptable end--that is unacceptable to people who really care about right & wrong.
