‘This is Nixon/Watergate’: Trump Accuses Obama Of Wire Tapping Trump Tower Before Election
yahoo.com ^ | March 4, 2017

President Trump exploded on Twitter early Saturday morning, blasting former President Barack Obama for allegedly wire tapping his phones before the election.

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” he declared.

“Is it legal for a sitting President to be ‘wire tapping’ a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!” he added.

Trump has the authority to declassify almost any classified material, and could substantiate his accusations if he wanted to.

The Saturday-morning Twitter storm was striking as Trump and Obama had largely appeared to paper over their differences — at least publicly — since the election.

It is far worse than Watergate.

It sure is worse than Watergate or any political problem we've had, even the civil war. The entire effort over the past 35-40 years has been an attempted takeover of the government by a shadow leftist movement. They, and anyone who continues to support them, must be brought to trial for treason and imprisoned in hard labor programs. Nothing less would be satisfactory.

If the eavesdropping was lawful, does that put different cast on the matter than alleged by Trump when he says "McCarthyism" or "Watergate?"

It can be legal but still inappropriate. The entire affair smacks of partisan politics. The Obama administration was turned down earlier because the request was too broad and they couldn't make their case, They came back again in October after the DNC was hacked and used the pretext of Russian banks to wiretap Trump Towers.

What McCarthy did was legal, but some believe unethical. This is far more insidious and dangerous. The ability to use the intelligence agencies to go after your political enemies is frightening stuff. We have already had something similar with the IRS scandal with Lois Lerner taking the 5th.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. I hope Trump gets the FISA requests redacted and declassified. The timing of all of this is suspect.

Obama and Hillary started blaming the Russians right after the DNC hack. Hillary used the Russian connection against Trump in the debates. Obama requests an Intelligence Community review of the Russian hacking and the results provided before he leaves office. He expands the uninverse of agencies that can be provided the raw data from NSA eavesdropping. Obama levies additional sanctions on the Russians three weeks prior to leaving office. Why? This is all a setup carefully orchestrated to hurt Trump and complicate any overtures Trump might make to Russia to improve bilateral relations.

I’d be surprised if the dem/media strategy is to claim that this is just Trump being paranoid.

No doubt in the mind of anyone who knows Trump, that he doesn’t make this stuff up and he would never tweet this without having solid evidence.

The strategy of the MSM and dems will be to make it sound like Obama was so concerned with Trump’s connections with Russia that he felt for national security reasons, he needed a warrant to wire tap. They will then admit he got the warrant.

Of course the MSM will try to hide the fact that Obama went beyond the boundaries of the warrant...which is the ultimate crime in this.

I want to find their accounts on Twitter and go back to read their reactions on election night to enjoy their pain.

“That’s right, David, Trump has not provided any proof whatsoever that Obama did anything wrong. Inside sources say that Trump may be having a mental breakdown. Back to you, David.”

A perfect opportunity to release redacted, unclassified copies of the FISA requests providing proof that the wiretapping was requested and approved by the Obama administration including the first request that was turned down. And Trump can do it thru twitter bypassing the MSM and going directly to his 30 million followers forcing the MSM to cover it. He can then schedule a prime time national address bringing in his experts outlining what was done.

My thought has been that the WH is probably bugged beyond decontamination.

I also found it odd that Obama had the remodel of the Oval Office done just before Trump became president.

Normally the office is remodeled by the new president to fit his or her personal needs and tastes if they desire a change. I suspect the Oval Office is full of electronic bugs. I also suspect Trump is having it torn apart.

So Podesta, Jarrett, Sid Viscous (et. al) made up and launched a bunch of rumors of Russian collusion with Trump during the campaign. Then Obama gave the OK to go to the FISA court for wiretaps. To catch the treason, you see.

First FISA court turned them down.

Then Trump made a joke at a campaign rally about hoping the Russians find Hillary’s missing 30,000 emails.

So they go back to the FISA court with this additional “evidence.” For real. The FISA court gives permissions for the wiretaps.

They get their taps. Meanwhile, the giant NSA vaccuum cleaner in the desert records all electronic communications by everyone world wide. But can’t share most of it. But it’s all there.

So Obama writes an executive order at the last second allowing all other intelligence agencies to access that NSA data. Various deep state people grab what they can.
(Hopefully Trump already reversed this order, but that toothpaste left the tube and ain’t going back in.)

Now a friken cesspool of reporters, politicians, holdovers, and other assorted slimeball anti-Trumpers have recordings (emails? etc?) of God knows what. There are probably 100 people who have them by now, and the leaks are sprouted at will.

I want people jailed over this. Multiple people, all the way to the top of the previous criminal administration. Including all mentioned above.

Well, you and I both suspect he is probably already wire-tapping Obama's insurgency headquarters, especially now that he's found out that Obama was wire-tapping the Trump Tower before the election.

But neither of us have any way to substantiate this supposition.

I sound like the fake news media. Report gossip or rumor or innuendo as fact but add a disclaimer saying there is no evidence to backup the made-up story.

-- ... it's also possible it is legal or obama claims national security. --

Not "national security" (which could be a domestic-only issue) but "foreign intelligence."

The crux of the issue is what justifies suspicion in the first place, that Trump's communications involve foreign intelligence?

Your hoping may come to light. If he wants to declassify, it will happen. Trump or any other president while in office can declassify anything. All federal classified information is codified by law through an Executive Order(s), and which is authorized by statute in the National Security Act of 1947.

So many have used teh T word in reference to Obama’s actions. Hopefully all will be revealed and the American people will call for Obama, Hillary, and Bill's demise.

Unfortunately it seems more likely that all this is a continued effort to destroy our Republic, and establish a Socialist Dictatorship, with the Socialist Democrat Party as its head. We are beginning to see the beginning of the exact same scenario that Hitler used to destroy the Weimar Government and gain dictatorial control of Germany.

The Left (Dems, Socialists, Communist, Anarchist, BLM, OWS or whatever mask they are wearing this week) is intent upon our destruction.

Stay strong, stay vigilant, stay prepared for whatever may come from the Left, and hold a bright light on their duplicity. Pray to G_d that truth will prevail, and our Republic will remain as a bright light of freedom and liberty to the nations of the world.

We need to stop the immigration of all who seek, wealth, plunder, and our destruction, and encourage those who wish to become a part of our Republic as free, G_d fearing, self sufficient individuals, who seek and strive for freedom, liberty, and the continuance of our Republic.

FBI ‘Granted FISA Warrant’ Covering Trump Camp’s Ties To Russia

The FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server* and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank. However, it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any ‘US person’ connected to this investigation, and thus covers Donald Trump and at least three further men who have either formed part of his campaign or acted as his media surrogates. The warrant was sought, they say, because actionable intelligence on the matter provided by friendly foreign agencies could not properly be examined without a warrant by US intelligence as it involves ‘US Persons’ who come under the remit of the FBI and not the CIA.

Thank you, grandpa Dave, for the link to that valuable information. Having read it and accepting all the inferences outlined by Kabar, one has to ask, is there anything new that would justify a blast of tweets this morning?

The state of play as we now know it is that Obama's administration tapped only a computer in Trump Tower and that only after obtaining a FISA warrant. It is not clear whether any data obtained from that surveillance of the computer was disseminated under the new regulation signed by Obama on the way out the door which Kabar with some justice implies was part of a plan to undermine the Trump presidency by disseminating surveillance evidence widely.

What do we have here? Was it an attempt to derail the Trump campaign converted into a conspiracy to undermine the Trump presidency? Why did Trump generate all of this commotion at five o'clock this morning? Because what we have here has been shown by new evidence to be not a legitimate surveillance in pursuit of national security, but dirty tricks? If there was nothing damaging produced by the surveillance at Trump Tower, is this a case of no harm to Trump and therefore no foul committed by Obama? Certainly the Democrats will take that line and they will say that everything they did was lawful and pursuant to court order. Again, why the tweet bursts this morning?

Is Trump in possession of new facts which are unknown to us? If not, the tweets seem erratic. If he is in possession of such facts, the dignity of the office requires that more be made known in support of very radioactive accusations.

Does President Trump have the authority to unseal all of Obama’s records?

It’s not just the Obama appointees that have to be drained from the swamp, but all the socialist and leftist, who have wormed their way into the fabric of our nation’s government over time. These individuals have no loyalty to our Republic and in fact oppose our Constitution and way of life.

They swear to uphold the Constitution, but then pronounce that it is a “Living Document” that changes at their whim.

CNN is ignoring the FISA Court request from June 2016 and Oct.

A big part of this collusion, and required to make it work, is to have the media completely part of the conspiracy. So, you’d better go after the media while you’re at it.

Clearly, this all explains the hyper insanity of the left since the moment Hillary lost the election. They were “all in” from a (il)legal standpoint. Win or go to jail....

Speak (tweet) soft.....now it’s time to carry (and swing) the BIG STICK!

However, Trump for now may keep this order in effect for use against the deep state. Its use can help facilitate "honey pots" and other setups to root out illegal activity. ObamaBots likely will end up on the short end of the stick.
