Something is very wrong about John McCain, we’ve known it here on FR for a long time, even before he was the nominee in 2008. We lined up behind him anyway, reluctantly, with most having to talk themselves into it as being a vote for Sarah Palin rather than him, but we did, myself included. But, he needs to go. If this is what takes him down, I’m not going to be upset. The AZ governor is Republican. His appointed replacement will therefore be Republican. Inside baseball in the Senate as far as chairing committees and such will appear to be a loss, but honestly what good has McCain done with it? A junior Senator with his or her head screwed on straight would be an improvement in my opinion.

I can’t say exactly when I knew he was no good, but it was later than you guys.
Though we knew he was a crook since S&L. But I was so used to politicians being crooks I just let it go.
That was a mistake.
