Loved his music. I know he mentioned God and his faith in an interview. He always seemed to be full of joy in his persona with the public.

Was not a fan but I know he was very good. They don’t make singers like him anymore.

He gave me so much joy back in the ‘80s, when joy was very hard to come by.

We're In This Love Together, incredible Live in London performance, 1984.
If you watch the audience in this, you will see what being a Baby Boomer meant to me, even though I wasn't at this performance.
Astounding sax solo by MICHAEL PAULO.

How sad. One of the reasons I like the show Moonlighting is in large part because of that mysterious, romantic and playful theme delivered by his wonderful voice.
RIP

I loved the way the 80s were into fun. Remember this? Yes the 80's were fun, although they didn't seem it to me at the time.
It was fun having Ronald Reagan for our President.
It was fun watching the economy heat up to a rolling boil for the first time in my adult life, after the crummy '70s and Jimmy Carter's malaise.
It was fun watching our Air Force knock the crap out of Muammar Khadafy.
It was fun watching he Space Shuttle fly, and knowing we could put an object the size and weight of a Greyhound bus into orbit any time we liked.
It was fun watching the USSR react to us for a change.

I started dating my wife about the time Live in London came out. We wore that cassette out. We saw him two times. One of them was at Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville in either ‘86 or ‘87. I have so many great memories of that era.

That must have been something.
Very sweet. A good time to fall in love and make a family.
