I realize I’m a little old and no longer part of their target audience, but all my life I’ve been considered a bit of a “culture vulture”. I own over 5000 books, hundreds of DVDs, About a thousand CDs, lots of vinyl (sold much of this years ago). I have very broad interests and I like to own the stuff that I like — if I view something and like it, I want to buy a copy so that I can always see it again.
In many respects, I am an ideal consumer of cultural material.
I would say that I now go to the cinema less than once a year.
Last time I paid for music, Bush was president.
I don’t think I’ve bought a DVD in 5 years.
The entertainment industry is just dead to me. Pure junk.
I enjoy Youtube. I get a lot of cinema and music there. And it’s free. The stupid ghetto trash and Liberals who own the the entertainment business can all go starve. Who cares what they think?
You sound exactly like me, except I haven’t parted with my collections just yet.
