Here, he tells Michael Kaplan his story including why the backlash drove him to the right.
Hopefully, Moore will have half the guts that Milo has -— he’s going to need it!
In the Weekly Standard recently, one of the writers wrote that his female relative went to a party, and when she went in, the hostess said to the party, “Oh good. She didn’t bring the conservative with her” (meaning the writer).
And the female relative wept as she recounted it to the writer afterwards.
How humiliating to have a conservative in the family!
Its gotta be tough to be a Gay Conservative, because the Left will absolutely loathe you, and major portions of the right will just not be able to accept you.
Congratulations to Mr. Moore for opening his mind to who “liberals” really are, the “New Fascism” or “New Communism”. Both deny reality, and if you don’t march lockstep with them into delusion and hate, then you are “the enemy”, not their poisoned minds.
I think that he is right in that conservatives today, having been in the bullseye of “liberals hatred” for so long, are becoming not only more tolerant, but have an accompanying understanding of other people who are not necessarily just like them.
I believe Ronald Reagan called this “The Big Tent”.
Well, Mr. Moore, welcome to the target range. Many of us have been aimed at for decades but we are strong and are still standing, and beginning to win “The Battle for the Mind” (William Sargeant, about 1956).
I think that you will also get a more realistic understanding of the concept of “real friendship”, not the bar-buddies and politically guided “friends” who abandoned you.
It doesn't just seem that way, that's the norm.
And I hope that New Yorkers can be as open-minded and accepting of my new status as a conservative man as theyve been about my sexual orientation.
Don't hope too much, you're about to find out who the real bigots are.

he isn’t a conservative and he is not a liberal anymore but he is in the midst of change maybe one day he will be conservative this is a prime example how the liberal melt down is helping the conservative movement. I believe In treating everyone with respect and I believe that most conservatives I know believe in treating people with respect. I believe this reporter found out the hard way that liberals do not treat those who differ with them politically with respect . I am guessing he is now looking at his past positions in politics and asking himself did I take that position because I am gay and that is what is expected of a gay person. what have I allowed to cloud my mind in trying to build consensus with other democrats. I hope one day he becomes a true conservative.
The insane hive mind of the homo herd is pushing the open-minded people in their midst away from them.
Next stop for the homo hive: a homo Berlin Wall.
Got a link to his Milo article?
Hint: they weren't really friends. They were just people you knew (and didn't know very well).
Here’s Dave Rubin, saying much the same, with very concise talking points.
Why I Left The Left

Glorgau. Very well said. False friends are no friends at all.
I liked that Mr. Moore was able to reconnect with his father. That part of his story made me especially glad for him.
I knew a number of gay guys in Graphics in Manhattan that voted Republican but with the gay issues they couldn’t say so. I think gay marriage is the silliest thing I ever heard of, but I don’t get to judge them. that’s God’s job and I have enough problems with him judging me. As long as they vote conservative what they do in their bedroom is there’s and God’s business. Just like with all of us. a whole lot of singing can be done between a man and a woman also. Maybe a number of gays will start to realize that there was no reason to scream from the rooftops that they are gay. They will see the country falling apart and they will support Trump
Thanks. Noticed Out said the opinions weren’t theirs, but I thought the article voiced lots of anti-Milo people.
First time I’ve discovered that he was fired from Twitter, because his followers sent racist tweets. I keep reading he tweeted racist stuff.
That article seemed balanced to me. Mr. Moore, the author, wrote what Milo’s critics say about him, but mostly let Milo speak for himself, which of course won’t change the minds of his critics. Nevertheless, the writer
presented both sides, allowing the reader to make up his own mind.
Most surprising to me was the fact that the comments weren’t censored. There were a lot of pro-Trump comments as well as people defending Milo.
Ridicule is a strong weapon especially if the opposing team is right.
