Considering the bad guy is most likely robbing you to get the device, it may be hard to coax them to shoot it.....

But going forward, I’m going to request that all bad guys shoot me in my Apple....

Since 'Apple MacBook Pro' is a clearly defined and known quantity/entity...the term 'bullet' must also be clearly defined before any such question can be answered.

Is it a 95 grain bullet in .380 caliber? Or is it a .50 caliber projectile?

This story likely comes out of the airport situation, I think it was in Florida, where a passenger was shot at by a terrorist and the bullet was stopped by the Mac he was carrying in his backpack.

“Results As speculated the Mac Book Pro stopped the .22 cal round, no penetration at all. The big surprise came from the 9mm being the higher velocity bullet, still did not penetrate the laptop”.

That’s why I use .45 ACP.

The big surprise came from the 9mm being the higher velocity bullet, still did not penetrate the laptop.

Unlikely that the 9mm is higher velocity. The velocity of common .22 LR and 9mm cartridges is close and overlaps quite a bit.

The 9mm has about three times the energy, because it has about three times the mass, though.
