Bad headline. Trump, indeed any president, can’t “order” or instruct congressional committees to do anything. In the conversation related by Chaffetz, Trump was indicating support for any investigation the committee wanted to pursue. A pledge of cooperation is not an order.
With all respect to yall, the headline isn’t the relevant part in this discourse in my book. I don’t care how inaccuratly the media phrases it, POTUS won’t be trying to subvert the Congressional investigations anymore. Yippee!!
