You are right. It makes Roberts a crook. He was set to strike down 0bamacare and then changed his mind at the 11th hour. He was either bribed or blackmailed.
Kennedy is 80 and RBG is 83. Replacing a swing vote and a far left fruitcake with originalists would be a radical change.
Breyer, anther leftist but not quite as insane as RBG is 78.

Not just getting justices - getting the Scalia replacement is great because you can put in another young Scalia but it doesn’t change the balance. Changing Kennedy to a hard core white nationalist would be great and give some advantage. It’s when one of the libs goes down, that’s when it gets interesting. Will he have the stones to replace a lib with a hard core conservative?

If Gorsuch goes through with nuclear option then a good strategy would be for Kennedy to retire and be replaced with another 50 something conservative;)
