I bet we see even THIS ridiculous headline soon.
MAN CANCELS HEART SURGERY BECAUSE SURGEON SUPPORTS TRUMP!!!
Prefers death to owing life to “man like THAT”
I also suspect that the first quarter of 2017 will show an explosion in L.L. Bean sales, since the addle-pated announced that boycott.
At some point the hand-wringing crack-pots will realize that the only ones who will join their boycotts are people who respect them, and the more they exhibit their mental wares, that number continues to decline.
Updated to reflect reality.
What, so two people who never ordered one have commented on a blog they’re cancelling their nonexistent orders. Well, ok then.
Worry not—all will be forgotten when the Trump Economy is booming.
So they don’t care about “climate change” anymore?
All one of them?

LOL! I would not be surprised! :)
Reminds me of President Reagan’s famous comment, after he was shot, he said to the surgeons, “I hope you are Republicans” or something like that. :) He really had a great sense of humor.
” That is why there is no such thing as a battery operated hair dryer. :-)”

Nice!
The problem is Musk’s refusal to kowtow to the left’s religion of hate.
Now the haters must do all they can to destroy him and send a message to others that freedom of association will not be allowed in the Amerikkka of the left.
I might consider a Tesla living on Oahu, especially if I have solar panels on the house, besides you have few places you can go fast on the island and fuel is expensive.
That is what they say.
Well, that tells me they didn’t really want the car, they really wanted the cachet as a “caring person” that it would have given them.
I made that statement as a sort of backhanded dare. :-)
That is, I figured someone has probably tried to market that, whether it really works or not.
I did see a “fuel cell” powered one once.
Electric cars don’t solve all vehicular applications. Where they are applicable, they can do a great job. I drove an EV for 2 years - loved it: cheap power, insane acceleration, highly responsive, ridiculously quiet. Yes there’s a brick-wall power limit, but if it matches your commute you learn to comfortably live within that limit.
Where EVs aren’t ideal, well, they’re not ideal - like pretty much any product. It’s not a pickup truck. Cold climates may be a problem. No need to bash it for not being the perfect every-vehicle, just respect that the technology is improving and EVs are a good choice for many (not all!) applications.
Yep. I think they have their place, especially with massive subsidies.
But I do consider them a niche product, so far. Wnen graphene based (or similar) capacitors become available and useful, this could change big time. But even then, I don’t want to have to plug a four foot diameter wire into my car to get it to charge in just a few minutes, nor would I want to be very close to it when it’s live.
#NotNews.
A LOT of people reserved Tesla 3s. A minuscule number will, of course over a year, cancel their reservations for inane reasons. That’s not news.
It’s not #FakeNews, because it’s not false - just blown way out of proportion.
If I had a less than 50 mile daily commute and some sort of good power source, I’d love to go all electric for the commuter. I would not mind having a small single passenger electric car that I used solely for commuting. Especially if I could plug it in for free at work.
My main problem with electric cars is that I consider them to be environmentally dirty.
They realized that while $1000 is pretty easy for no-expense youth is pretty easy to come up with, the prospect of actually forking over the remaining $35,000 in the not-distant-future becomes daunting.
