When Donald Trump ran for president he put his clear, simple message on the front of bright red hats. The message was perfect. The choice of a hat instead of a t-shirt or other garment was perfect. The color red was perfect for his message bold, sexy, and important. The hats were a master class in branding and influence. Political historians will be referring to Trumps hats for ages.
Compare that to the Million Woman March. They chose pink because I assume it is a bit of an ironic color for women who are fighting for their rights. Women are owning pink to rob it of its power to brand them as the so-called weaker sex. At least thats why I assume they picked pink.
Weve seen that kind of ownership-gambit work before. African-Americans successfully took over the N-word and robbed it of its historical power. Gays successfully turned the chant Were here, were queer. Get over it into ownership of the Q-word.
We also saw Trump use a version of this ownership-gambit during the campaign. The media accused him of being a whiner and he responded by saying he was the loudest voice for change. Trump owned the accusation and weaponized it.
So we know this idea of embracing the insult and flipping it into a positive or at least a neutral is good persuasion. It works quite often. But let me tell about you one of the rare cases where you should NOT use that persuasion technique.
Dont use it to own pink....

Everyone read the whole thing. It’s terrific!
The womyn who demand to be treated without regard to their sex or body parts define their appearance by dressing up like body parts.
They also demand equality with men at the same time that they shine to obtain exceptional treatment. WTF, over? Seriously, I know that guys and gals minds work differently, but where is there a shred of logic there?
whine, not shine.
There was a time when pink was associated with Communist. I got a laugh with I found out that Harry Reid’s nickname was Pinky. As far as I am concerned these women’s libbers are Pinko’s trying to create a Communist group think because they are womXn (their new name for women).
Pink...because they're all pink on the inside. Remember what their hats were meant to resemble.

Until this election, I was unhappy about the media's flip of the colors associated with Dems and Republicans, which I believe was an in-your-face swipe at conservatives by the MSM. I am old enough to be aware of the many correlations of the color red with communism. There are many references to red in literature etc meaning totalitarian. Young people have no such feelings about the color. I decided this election to embrace the color red for Republicans. True red is always the same color but there are hundreds of shades of blue, making blue less effective as a brand.
This article explains how red is a powerful color, while pink is a calming color. Excellent article!
I still remember “the Reds” meaning the Communists, but I guess now we’re stuck with it, so we should embrace it, as in
“red-blooded American.”
This is grievance politics. A bunch of progressive feminazis wanting special protection status from toxic masculinity.
From the looks of most of them they are already safe from male attention. Especially with the ever fashionable vajayjay hat. LOL!
