Since Ronald Reagan enacted the Mexico City Policy — otherwise known as the Global Gag Rule — in 1984, each incoming Democratic president has moved to revoke it, while each incoming Republican president immediately reinstates it. As expected, President Donald Trump continued the tradition by signing the executive order that bans federal funding for international non-governmental organizations that offer abortions.
This essentially forces NGOs to choose whether they will continue to offer safe abortion access to women — or lose the funding that allows them to provide other women’s health services to the population they serve.
As an earlier Cut article on the policy points out, the 1973 Helms Amendment already prohibits foreign aid from going toward abortions; the Global Gag Rule goes a step further by barring NGOs who receive U.S. aid from providing abortions that they’re paying for themselves or with other funds....

New York Magazine is deeply saddened that American taxpayers won’t be paying to kill babies in the womb.
I’ve heard quite a number of people say they believe Trump had a “Road to Damascus” experience.
And the latest pearl-clutching headline out of the New York, Trump-hating media.
It was the rule under Reagan and both Bushes. The world got along just fine.
What it WILL affect is the cushy jobs of people who channel 90% into their pockets and 10% into abortions.
Murder is murder. These little babies overseas are just like all babies. . . on loan from God . . . to be brought up in the admonition of the Lord to be witnesses to the world. Time on this earth is for a little while compared to eternity (heaven or hell). What part of that don’t these liberals understand???? Sunday School in a Bible believing church is in order for all.

It would seem the ONLY health concern for women is abortion. No other issues face women anywhere else in the world. Not malaria, not dysentery, not guinea worms, not measles, not polio, not rubella, ONLY abortion.
And to answer your question why we pay for abortions in Zimbabwe. Liberals will say “fine, you conservatives will have to pay to raise the child” and just redefine children as a cost benefit analysis. Someone “punished” you might say.

Lefties putting their own twisted spin on abortions, like restricting them will affect a woman’s health. In a healthy woman with a normal pregnancy, how will not getting an abortion affect her health?
On the other hand, getting the abortion totally destroys the baby’s health. Or, it’s just plain old murder, lefty style.
It’s the worldwide version of the progressive eugenics program.
A woman’s “right to choose” is just a well planned propaganda smokescreen to foment population controls on the “undesirables” as Margaret Sanger put it.

Today, liberals praise Sanger for pushing birth control and creating Planned Parenthood. What they fail to mention, though, is that she was an outspoken racist and eugenicist. She wanted to “exterminate” blacks and was an advocate of late-term abortions and forced sterilization.
Planned Parenthood was created by Sanger for the singular purpose of killing black babies and other “non-whites.” To this day, Planned Parenthood performs abortions on black women at a higher rate than any other race.
Even though they account for only 13% of American women, black women submit to 35% of all abortions performed by Planned Parenthood.
