I’m guessing it’s the same slush fund in every State.
SPLOST, amendment referendums and proposed voter decision questions are ALWAYS lied about in EVERY state. They LIE in the descriptions of that the proposal says versus what the legislation actually says, they are most time supported and pushed for by public employees and organizations standing to benefit, and the amount of real dollars to the question generally posed are pitifully small.
This is the reason I vote no on EVERY Georgia Constitutional Amendment, SPLOST, or any other taxing measure. They LIE; it’s what they do.

Furthermore, the all too common statement “it’s for the children” is code for more money going to teacher & adminstration salaries/retirement, rather than going towards school supplies and actual learning.
