Fox News has re-signed Bob Beckel to be a co-host of The Five. Juan Williams will remain a Fox News contributor across all programs and continue appear on the program.
Beckel parted ways with Fox News in the middle of 2015, with the network at that time stating that they could no longer be held hostage to one mans personal issues. This followed Beckel spending several months recovering from surgery and being in rehab for an addiction to painkillers.
In todays announcement, Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch said Bob was missed by many fans of The Five and were happy to welcome him back to the show.
Beckel added, Im thrilled for the opportunity to go home again and join my television family around the table of The Five. I have no doubt it will be a vigorous yet entertaining debate.
Beckel first joined Fox News as a contributor in 2000 and then rejoined the network in 2011 as one of the original co-hosts of The Five. After exiting Fox, he was with CNN for a short time as a commentator.
They need to bring back Andrea, not Bob.
Agree!! And ditch Gutfield all together
Aw, geezis, Juan shows up on Baier’s program. Ugh....
You may have something there. If I remember correctly, Beckel credits Bolling for saving his life. It seems to me Bob was choking and Eric performed the Heimlich maneuver on him. Ever since then, they were pretty close on the air.
While I don’t agree with him politically, Beckel was always fun to watch. His flirting with Kimberly and his propensity for dropping “F” bombs on the air were legion. He also took Obama to task for NOT calling terrorists “radical Islamic”.
I look forward to his return.
What happened with him at CNN?
I am glad to see him back. He has issues (political and personal), but I believe he would give someone in need the shirt off his back.
Tony Snow considered him a good man and a good friend-good enough for me. :-)
As long as Graham returns to argue with Bob.

Otherwise it’s not much of a difference who plays the liberal.
Addiction to painkillers?
A major epidemic in this country, isn’t it?
