In an interview with NBC's Lester Holt, President Obama said Republicans didn't work with him during his presidency because they feared Rush Limbaugh or FOX News would "punish" them.
"Well what is true is the ability of Republican leaders to rile up their base, helped along by folks like Rush Limbaugh, some commentators on Fox News I think created an environment in which Republican voters would punish Republicans for cooperating with me," Obama said.

Lester Holt told Obama he has a "good game face" and plays it cool but asked if he has a "vindictive streak" because he learned politics in Chicago. Obama said no, but he "can curse like a sailor behind closed doors sometimes." Obama said he also tries to get in the mindset of his opponents when it comes to issues like abortion and that "dissipates" the anger. .....
"My staff and my wife will tell you that, what you see is sort of what you get with me," the president answered. "I tend to be somebody who focuses on what it is that I wanna get done as opposed to focusing on whatever grudges have developed."

Yet your effort is wasted on this petulant man-child, he was boasting the other day that he’s ‘the father of Tea party’, in fact. [For a quoted ‘smartest person in any room’, he didn’t know he’s King George III.]
He is not lying, if you look at what he says he is or wants to do, it is usually the exact opposite and that is what he wants to do. The alynski book “rules for radicals” is his playbook. Manipulation and subtrafuge, he would be a good magician in vegas but with words and a complaint MSM.

The lie that I was highlighting was the claim that he doesn’t focus on grudges - clearly he does, as it motivates so many of his actions.
But, to your point about Obama maintaining a focus on implementing his ugly agenda, I agree with that part.
I have long considered Obama to be the world’s most successful con-artist, at least in the modern era (having decisively grabbed that title away from the previous holder, Bill Clinton).
Although it’s clear to me that plenty of Obama’s most dubious ‘achievements’ have stemmed from his own arrogant incompetence, enough of them have been the realization of Obama’s obvious goals that IMHO it swings the balance on the “is he evil or merely incompetent” scale squarely into the “he’s evil” territory.
We can at least find some solace in the knowledge that his manifest character flaws have often worked to frustrate his hateful plans before they came to fruition.
And he still has a bridge for sale in NY.
