Dude smoked 3 male deer with a slug shotgun at rather impressive range in 35 seconds. That’s beast. I’ve almost had that happen with hogs, bit that was with an AK and they were several yards away

A friend of mine went hunting with his father (in a state where they could only bag one deer each). His father had to relieve himself and disappeared deeper into the woods for a while. My friend saw two deer. Shot both in a few seconds. When his father returned he said, “I got one”, and then recalling the rules on what he could legally bag, “and so did you.”
Given your comparison, it sounds very incredibly hard to do.

A slug is a very large and heavy chunk of lead that’s pretty much a bullet on roids. It weighs whole ounces. There’s different sizes and I’m not familiar with this guys slug

I don’t think I’ll try doing this on myself. It’s difficult tasl.
A 12 gauge slug is one ounce of lead, this 20 Gauge about 3/4 ounce. Starts to drop fast over 100 yards or so. At 200 yards, a substantial drop and anything after that it loses a lot of energy.
Isn’t there like a 2.5 oz. 10 gauge slug? Like a 3” or 3.5” or something? I know the guy used a 20 gauge, but I wasn’t sure of their weight. I don’t often mess with shotguns
I'm not sure if you are serous with this statement or not. 20 gage sabot-ed slug weighs around 3/4 of an ounce.
The bullet our of an AR usually comes in at 55-62 grains. Most 7.62 nato ammo bullets are in the 160 grains area.
So yes, shotgun slugs are like shooting a freight train engine in the world of ballistics.
This chart gives you and idea about muzzle velocity and energy. the charts shows rifled slugs. The sabot slug offers a bit more for longer shots.
About 1 3/4 ounce for 10 gauge.

I looked up Grains and can see the difference.
I’m not 100% on velocities for different gauges, but I had 1 ouncers that were rocking 1600-1800 feet per second out of a 26 inch barrel. I busted the CRAP out of an engine block of an old, dead Chevy luv when I was a kid and the block was pretty much destroyed
