So what was the quip pro quo ? These are not pointless with bribes. They were expecting some kind of return. The Clintons bribe ratio can easily run over 1000 : 1.

The Kiwis paid even more to the outgoing administration. Ask yourself, why did New Zealand co-sponsor the recent anti-Israel security council resolution?

The first thing that came to my mind was the New Zealand nuclear-free zone, which happened in 1984 during the Reagan administration.

I remember when New Zealand declared their ports off-limits to all nuclear-powered ships, so the United States Naval fleet could no longer dock there. This has been an ongoing issue with New Zealand ever since.

Maybe there was some quid pro quo with New Zealand regarding China's growing dominance in the western Pacific and the United States Navy porting at New Zealand docks again?
