Back in early 2013, when I started questioning the 17A, another Freeper, whose screen-name escapes me for the moment, said the best approach was appeal to the vanity of state legislators. 17A repeal would tremendously empower them.

Seems to me the vanity approach works well on way too many of us. (As a woman I can’t exclude myself) But we use what tools we can and it can sure get attention focused where it needs to be ;)
