Oops! That was the lame excuse of Roxie Hart as relayed by her lawyer Billy Flynn in the musical Chicago for shooting her boyfriend. However, the excuse by Paul Schrader for why he threatened violence upon Donald Trump soon after the election is equally ridiculous. After having been visited by a couple of plainclothes policemen from the NYPD Counter Terrorism, and facing final termination of his failing career, he desperately blamed his violence threat upon wine and drugs. Yeah....right! Just read the threat the unhinged Schrader posted to Facebook last month and ask yourself if you want to fly aboard the same plane as him:

The left is fomenting a coup. No doubt about that. We have sedition laws that should be used. I think that is just what the left is trying to provoke.

First, I can understand doing things when drunk or on drugs, yup guilty, been there - done that.
And let me tell you I did very stupid things. Still no excuse and is reason if I drink, it is very little.
I remember some who say ‘drunk no count.’ well you are wrong. Drunk should count double. It is obvious the reason you use a ‘mind altering substance’ is to get your mind altered.
Generally not the brightest thing to do, again obviously.
However, it was a choice you made and consequences come with choices, something about being responsible comes to mind.
Eventually it all comes down to; ‘just because you can do something, does not mean you should’ and it appears this adage is completely wasted on the drunk or stupid or liberal. LOL

I remember the meme joke graphics from eight years ago showing obamatrons in various states of frenzy with a caption about how the phamaceutical companies have their work cut out for them. Probably highly accurate.

If he abuses illegal/legal drugs and alcohol, that is not an excuse.
It makes him even more of a danger to President Elect Trump.
Take the evidence and his own admission to abusing drugs/alcohol to a Federal Grand Jury. If they find him guilty. Arrest him and put him in jail to wait for a trial.
If he is found guilty, send him to a federal prison.
Who types like that when they’re drunk and stoned? Obviously this POS was coherent in his hatred.
It does seem to be a common thread that runs through every branch of the Liberal family tree.
