Notable excerpt

[snip] ... Justin Hamilton, a political advisor to tech firms who worked in the Obama administration, said Trump might present an identity crisis along with any opportunities for tech firms.

“Who’s going to sign up to work at a place where they feel like they run the risk of undermining the values they hold dear?” he asked. .... [snip]

People who need to feed their families and maintain their lifestyles.

I wouldn't overestimate the lure of progressive values. When one goes hungry they don't mind changing values much in the other direction.

“Who’s going to sign up to work at a place where they feel like they run the risk of undermining the values they hold dear?”

BS. The only value they hold dear is their bottom line and not getting terrorized by SJWs.

There’s nothing they fear more than having an mob of Alynski-ite black extortionists led by Sharpton descend upon their headquarters.

Expect a dressing down, just like the Media Heads got, or worse.

“There’s nothing they fear more than having an mob of Alynski-ite black extortionists led by Sharpton descend upon their headquarters.”

To a multi-billion dollar company, the $1 or $2 million dollar cost of buying the race extortionists off is jus 0.005 to 0.01% of revenue.

MUCH less than cost of potential bad publicity.

I’m sure that’s the calculation they make. And it’s not just the money, but the headaches.

If these people run economically viable entities that are not dependent on Federal subsidies, they can say and posture in any way they like. however their Silicon Valley buddies in the Federal subsidy dependent solar industry will face the consequences of their anti Trump rants and the fact that their companies are essentially expensive, politically correct boondoggles.

Listen, They get tax breaks, they get h1B visa people, and I’m sure some of them get some government contracts.

Amazon runs virtually tax free. That can change on a dime. Oracle ... 100’s of millions from government purchases and contracts. Facebook, twitter et al. They have IP patents and copyrights that would better off without them and in the hands of the public.

Back to the point in the article. The author asks in a very silly manner won’t corporations start having problems hiring workers because the corporation SJ values aren’t on par with the workers?

If they are vulnerable, then Bannon will hire people adept at halting any hidden Federal subsidies or preferences. He will make them suffer quietly and painfully.

That is an article dripping with hatred. I thought the LA Times was a notch below the NY Times in it’s dislike of Trump. I was wrong. I suspect an element of fawning over Silicon Valley billionaires is going on too.

Of course...that’s the economic and very literal blackmail that has been going on for decades in America.

Going against your own conscience and trading off your convictions for ‘stuff’ is the only platform Liberals ever have.
