About how much $$$ ?
I’ve always enjoyed my Ruger MK II Target (Bull Barrel) with two 10 round clips. I get tired of shooting (or run out of “plinking” targets) before I run out of ammo.

I think I’ll stick with my Ruger Single Six.
But if I had the ammo shown at the article, I could see that happening.
Double action 19 or 20. Maybe 1.9 or 2.0?
I’d prefer a mkIV. Much lighter.
Rugers a bunch of horse nuggets. Sure they make interesting and desirable stuff, but the more interesting it is the fewer they make and then it’s sucked up by the distributors buddies creating an instantaneous artificially high priced collectible, that some people just want to shoot. That being said I still like their stuff and my carry piece is a Ruger.
You NEED 5 magazines and mag loader. Your thumb will love you again and you’ll do a lot more shooting. Always a good thing.
I have a Single Six too. I bought it new in 1984 and it still shoots true. Very well made.
The smith 617 is a better gun.
I got the 991 in 22 WinMag. I love it!
I always wanted a Single Six in 32 H&R Mag
Interesting story about Ruger.
In the early ‘80’s I had a neighbor who was a pretty good shade tree mechanic. He used to work on my car. One day he asked me if I collected Ruger handguns. I said no. Later he told me that the question was a code used by KKK members to find each other.
He was KKK and showed me some literature. It was pretty weird stuff.
Ruger makes great firearms. Mrs. L uses an SP-101 for her EDC.

I have a single six (bought it in the late 70s) and I would not describe it as "compact". Nor would I describe it as a carry weapon.
I have one that I inherited from my dad that I've never shot............
Gonna try to get together with a couple of buddies with their .22s in the next few weeks and do some shooting indoors........
Ruger ,,
First ,
Horse Nuggets,
Then code for the Klan ??
Golly Gee.
At $614 you can buy a gorgeous Ruger vaquero in .45 long or acp. Ok, nice pistol but I don’t see the value compared to owning a genuine work of art like a vaquero.
