The Left is trying to start a conflict with Russia. Is this an effort to ramp up the military-industrial complex with money being siphoned off into the pockets of politicians? I think so.

And a good chunk of the RINOS too, but then The RINOS are part of the Left.

You have no idea how insane that sounds. The “left” did nothing as Putin invaded Ukraine and killed over 10,000 people.

My sense is that Trump knows what he is looking for in the Secretary of State position, that he interviewed all the usual candidates for the job and wasn’t finding that “it” quality; so he’s expanded his search and is looking at corporate CEO types. Maybe this guy, maybe not. I like it though. They need to get some new names in there.

My sense is Trump is hiring a bunch of folks like himself and has a problem hiring people outside of that mold. My sense is Trump isn’t very interested in foreign affairs and plans on being a domestic oriented POTUS.

We will soon see what Mr. Trump has lined up as payback for the oral filth Mitt hurled at him during the campaign....i.e.....setting Romney up and then rejecting him at the end in a perfect coup de gras.

Good!

Donald Trump is not snubbing Romney. After Romney’s disgusting and traitorous verbal assaults on the President-elect, he should have no illusions of any position in a Trump administration.

I have heard him state that he is going to be extremely busy with domestic issues, especially over the next two years. That may make it even more crucial that he make the right pick for SoS. I don’t see him hiring people like himself. I see him hiring generals and lawyers.

Trump could be interviewing people that could be influential in opposing his policies as a form of opposition research. A lot of his opponents are seduced by the prestige of the position and believe that they can gain leverage undermine Trump. Trump has probably done this many times in the past meeting with people that had no intention of making a deal or cooperating.
Who knows, he might be taping them during these interviews.

Another talking point ‘conflict of interest’ , but yet on the side of sinking the private sector there was never a conflict of interest...

That would be interesting, since Bolton is a hard liner who supports continuing the sanctions on Russia, and Tillotson is an outspoken opponent of those sanctions. Ying and yang, I suppose ...

To me it’s a toss-up. Both victories represented a major turnaround in the country’s political direction.

We still don’t know if this is what Donald Trump has decided.
He seemed awfully interested in Mitt last week.
Better wait and see.
