Not sure if it was a Corporate Policy or the Franchise Policy.

The company does use the E-Verify system to check your social security number. This process is done to verify your right to work in the United States.

Starting 1/20/2017, ALL businesses better start using E-Verify for ALL prospective hires unless the bosses and CEOs want to go to prison.

And if the illegals subsequently use identity theft to obtain jobs illegally, then they become qualified for deportation as criminals above and beyond simply being illegal immigrants.
