Take the voter fraud out of the popular vote and then let the RATs talk.
I don’t think it’s “meaningless”. I can actually understand how Hillary supporters might think it’s not fair that the winner of the popular vote didn’t win the election. What they refuse to understand though is that 84% of the counties in the U.S. didn’t want to let a handful of densely populated Democrat strongholds decide the election for the entire country.
They’re going to have to deal with it or succeed.
These weasels would be just as adamant about the wisdom of our founders and the critical importance of the Electoral College if it had gone the other way.
Is there a Red/Blue map by precinct out yet?
Just like football. You win by scoring, EC. Time of possession doesn’t determine the score.
The vote is at the core of the disagreement between republican and democrat.
The popular vote is democracy, the electoral college is a republic. If they change this one rule, republicanism is dead.
“Take the voter fraud out of the popular vote and then let the RATs talk.”
We have grown so much in 200 years that we do need to change the electoral system. I propose we do it by county, with each county regardless of size gets the same vote. Most counties won in the state gets the electoral vote. Same with the senate. Congressional districts can remain the same.
This solves some very serious issues. For one, while it doesn’t stop cheating, it restricts it to one county. That’s an effective mitigation strategy and sets up firewalls. Plus, if Democrats want to continue with the no voter ID position, let them do it in their counties. Orange County will have the same vote as Los Angeles County. Who cares if Clinton won LA County with 1.5 million more votes than Trump. It only accounts for 1 point in the big picture.
The second thing it does is it forces congressional Democrats into a position which they cannot defend. You can either support voter ID, or support a system where voter ID is not needed, but will be enforced at the county level, taking the complexity at the state level that the rats say exists out of the equation.
I would submit this as an issue that should go in front of a constitutional convention.
No illegal votes are meaningless.
By the RATS logic, the Yankees should have won the 1960 World Series because they outscored the Pirates something like 57 to 37 even though they lost four games and the series.
I don’t know why people keep saying the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. It was a tie. Both teams scored 27 runs.
The Left don’t believe there is any voter fraud just as they don’t believe Islamic terror has anything to do with Islam.
LOL! GMTA...
Winning the popular vote is a misnomer. The libs use states as an tool to control many functions like education, business, raw materials, and even crimes. But when they can’t produce the result they are after, they always try to take their efforts using the public popularity due to size to try to gain an advantage. Even to the point of using people right out in the open like they did with Jill Stein this year.
I have to concede the libs are going to take the popular vote in most elections because they control the states with the most people in them. When they say they lost the election because they didn’t get three “swing” states, it isn’t because they lost the states, it’s because they lost the votes.
If you give Hilary the three states, she still didn’t carry half the states, 26 to 24. But by going after certain states, and if she wins the states anyway. she will get the win not based upon the vote of the people, but the size of the states. So where is that popular vote now? The early southern democrats did the same thing using the amount of slaves they had to control the house and senate with voting capacity. Same thing. And here’s what happens.
Here in Washington state, we have a county, named King appropriately, that controls the entire state due to population. Yes, there are so many people in King county, that they have more votes than the rest of the state, combined. Whatever they vote, happens. Does that sound correct. I don’t.

Smallest Cointy US. Loving TX. Pop 82. Vote Trump 58 Clinton 4 Stein 2 Johnson 1.
“Smallest Cointy US. Loving TX. Pop 82. Vote Trump 58 Clinton 4 Stein 2 Johnson 1”
And they deserve the same representation as someone in Travis County.
My lesson on the electoral college.
A nation is not merely “the people” nor in any sense of county them either. A nation is the places where people live - the villages, towns, cities, counties and in the final sense the states.
Our nation is a collection of states and it is a republic, not a town hall style democracy. It is the states, as represented entities, by their electors, that select the president. What the “popular” vote decides is essentially how each state, as one state, will vote, via their electors. That vote is not summed together with the “popular” vote from all the states and used collectively to elect the president.
We are a republic and the president of these united states best represents “the nation” when it garners NOT the “popular vote” but a majority of the votes of the electors from the states. It represents a yes vote from a broader representation of the villages, towns, cities and counties across the country, however many people live there.
The founders knew, because they learned history better than most people do today, that “democracy” worked best locally and failed when it expanded its writ too far, and usually descended into dictatorship when it did.
Instead of getting rid of the electoral college, we need to make it even stronger in its ability to deny just a few highly populated states from electing the president. I would not change the size of the Senate, but instead of giving each state just two electoral votes, representing their two senators, I’d give each state three electoral votes in addition to the elector votes that represent how many representatives in the house they have.
They always considered themselves the foxes and everyone else the chickens....
The issue isn’t about the popular vote it’s about how they failed to rig the election.
The good old boy game is up time to drain the swamp asap.
