Enough nonsense
Michigan attorney general Bill Schuette is surely going to catch heat for this - criticism that hes strictly acting out of partisan concern because hes a Republican. And yes, Schuette is a very partisan Republican and has been one for a long time. And oh yes, he would certainly like to be our next governor.
But no matter who he is, his legal argument is awfully solid that there is no valid reason for a recount of the presidential race in Michigan. It would be extremely time-consuming and expensive - and yes, the state would bear a huge share of the cost - and its not going to change a damn thing. Plus, the party who demanded it can hardly claim to be a seriously aggrieved party.
I just heard that this committee voted, and they reached a stalemate, meaning, the vote recall will continue. Maybe this article knows something I don’t, which is very likely.
the court will probably stop this ridiculous recount
It does know something you don’t. At the same time the committee was going for a stalemate which keeps the recount on track, the Attorney General was filing suit with Michigan’s Supreme Court. The latter has yet to be determined.
Sanity never prevails anymore, but I applaud his effort.
Because Democrats would never act in a partisan manner.
This frivolous recount is stealing money from the state of Michigan taxpayers. Seems to me the money would be better used for something else, like clean drinking water.
“Seems to me the money would be better used for something else, like clean drinking water.”
Touche”
Nice shot across the bow of the Green Party candidate.
