Monisha Rajesh, a journalist for the Telegraph, has taken the internets advice and deleted her account declaring that its about time for a presidential assassination, when it became clear that Donald Trump had won the election.
You can view a cached version of her Twitter account here.
While Rajesh lives in London, calling for the assassination of a president is illegal under federal statute 18 U.S.C. § 879 : US Code Section 879.
The code states:
(1) a former President or a member of the immediate family of a former President;
(2) a member of the immediate family of the President, the President-elect, the Vice President, or the Vice President-elect;
(3) a major candidate for the office of President or Vice President, or a member of the immediate family of such candidate; or
(4) a person protected by the Secret Service under section 3056(a)(6); shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
Also in her favor is the 1969 case of Brandenberg v. Ohio, the case of Ku Klux Klan leader who had been convicted on threats of violence. Clarence Brandenberg had been convicted under Ohios law for making violent threats in public speech but it was overturned by the Supreme Court on the grounds that his threats were abstractly made and therefore protected under the First Amendment.
So, ironically, Rajeshs statements are protected speech thanks to a fight put up by the KKK.
Rajesh also wasnt the only one to call for the president-elect to be assassinated in their online temper tantrums over the election results. Twitter exploded with people calling for the president-elects assassination after he won. Many of the tweets have now been deleted, or their accounts suspended, but here is a sample:
The Secret Service has not yet commented on the slew of threats and calls for violence on social media.
How about some arrests?
So, by their logic, none of those nitwits are POTUS, so I can take up a gofumdme, to put a bounty on their heads.
Pursue soros funded operations as the terrorist organizations they are and the bs will stop.
FBI doesn’t mind inserting undercovers into right wing groups to check them out. They need to start planting folks in MoveOn and Answer.
Get the evidence and slam them. Lock up soros accounts just like any other terrorist finance and use it to reimburse all the property damage.
They should arrest any journalist calling for assassination and railroad them. Max sentences. Max penalties.
Then it will end real quick.
Scum. Hopefully soon to be impressioned scum.
Imagine how,the left would react if Hillary won and these pots were directed at her.

Oh, those violent, dangerous Tea Partiers! If they learned love, peace, and tolerance from our enlightened progressives, this world would be a better place.
I bet the Secret Service will be happier with this POTUS.
What is her citizenship? If she is neither a US citizen (or legal immigrant) nor commited that act inside the US I have a hard time seeing how US law could extend to it? It would be similar to me saying that I hope Putin's bear eats him on one of his bare chested bareback bearback rides and then getting a midnight knock on the door from the KGB FSS.
Yes.
Make an example of someone ASAP.
That’ll learn’em!
Nip it in the bud. The feds should be knocking on doors and hauling these haters off in handcuffs. Take the paddy wagon to make a point with the neighbors.
Wanted: Special Agents willing to bathe once a week, liberally douse themselves in patchouli, practice self-loathing, quote Mao and Che, and willing to relocate to the Portland Field Office.
Must be able to do a convincing Jazzhands.
Good idea. Start with this worthless sack of sh*t:
Remember that the Wikileaks email had Schmidt the high muckety-muck from Google discussing the use of a software platform/testbed with Podesta da' Molesta, which I think he valued at $1.2 billion dollars.
I bet Guiliani could make a case for RICO and triple the damages: $3.6 billion would take a bite out of Google's budget.
They could have even more fun by prosecuting them retroactively for violating existing H1-B programs at a fine of 3x the salary differential per day per illegal employee.
Hot dawg, it’s time for cowboys and proggies!
