Powell has been vastly overrated ever since his "cut off the head of the snake" performance many years ago.
Never believed he was a genuine Republican, either. He and his gossipy crony Richard Armitage are responsible for destroying lives during the phony Valerie Plame case. It was Armitage who "leaked" Plame's CIA status (not that it mattered in her case, she was no longer covert, no longer in any danger, no longer even secretive about her CIA desk job at Langley).
Yet the guilty party, Richard Armitage --and his pal Colin Powell-- left the innocent Scooter Libby to twist in the wind.
Sounds like intent to me.
