Yes, I’m very amazed that it actually does seem to work in my own body. However, everyone is different.

Yes, I have read somewhere you can use turmeric, as from your spice shelf. The caveat there, I understand, is that in order to potentiate it, you need to use a tablespoon or two of a good quality oil such as coconut oil, olive oil, krill oil.... etc. because the turmeric has an oil based absorbing process. I understand that the Curamin and the Natures way products I mentioned in my previous post, are more refined and actually have the turmeric oil incorporated in it.

Turmeric can also be found available already placed in gel caps on your supplement aisle. I just want to point my fellow pain sufferers to a remedy that actually seems to work in at least some cases. I would encourage you to go to your local health food store(s) and see what information you might find there.

I did a quick google and found this from the Arthritis Foundation. Apparently it actually is helpful for that kind of pain. It has specifics on how the pain cancelling connections work. They also caution that it may act as a blood thinner, so you would need to consult your doctor if you want to try it.

In addition, there are some other supplements which can be helpful for pain management. We saw some information from a Dr. Joshua Levitt where he mentions some other supplements that can work with turmeric. He mentions bromelain, but it should be noted that it has some blood thinning characteristics, so would need to be checked with your doc.

Your health food store proprietors may be able to help you find a good pain management supplement list so that you can avoid or at least cut down on the ibuprofen/NSAID. You might also be able to find out who a local alternative medicine practitioner in your area might be who would be especially equipped to advise you.

I do hope this helps you!
