All eyes are on the Republican party leadership and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign for responses to the ongoing Donald Trump tape scandal. But one GOP party member is pointing the finger at the media — Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
Cruz asked in a tweet Sunday why NBC took so long to release the now infamous audio of GOP presidential nominee Trump's lewd behind-the-scenes remarks to "Access Hollywood's" then-host, Billy Bush. The Texas senator intimated that the network intentionally withheld the recording:

The timing of the leak — two days before the second of three nationally televised presidential debates — looks bad for the Trump campaign, but there are flaws in any NBC conspiracy theory.
NBC may no longer have "The Apprentice" tapes.
Cruz makes a good point that releasing the "Access Hollywood" audio earlier may have altered the course of the election.
But his second comment about "The Apprentice" tapes may be off base. An unnamed NBC source told Politico that "Apprentice" tapes are not owned by NBC but rather by the show's producer, Mark Burnett, who is a friend and supporter of Trump.
"We don't own the footage. We're pursuing it along with every other news organization reporting on this story," NBC told Politico on Saturday.
Will "Apprentice" footage be leaked just like the "Access Hollywood" clip?
Not likely, according to Chris Nee, a producer who did not work on "The Apprentice" but who has signed contracts for projects with Burnett in the past.
Nee tweeted Sunday that the "leak fee" on Burnett contracts is $5 million.

Someone who signed such a contract would incur that hefty penalty if he or she shared unaired footage from "The Apprentice," suggesting that we're unlikely to see anything unless Burnett himself wants to release it....

Personally, I think Cruz is correct in his observation. Everyone’s sphincter has an autonomic reaction when we hear that the Russian’s are trying to meddle in our elections, but what our MSM does in meddling to influence outcome is far worse.
Hillary would be making commercials with video of Heidi crying on the side of the highway in the middle of the night and every time his daughters shied away from him not wanting him near them.

Back in the early days, didn’t somebody in the press proclaim that “we have to drop impartiality and stop Trump.” This woman is completely the candidate of big business, the media and the international community. In this debate, Trump needs to lay out who his enemies actually are.

or like I said earlier, what about the millions of women who ran to the bookstore or theater for 50 Shades of Grey. It was such a hit with women, they are doing a sequel. Where was the outrage?
Of course, these were the same women who ostracized a 22 year old intern for her relationship with the president.

Billy Bush is a first cousin of Jeb Bush and GWB. What is his role in all of this? Did he remember the conversation and alert someone to the tape? Why wasn’t it released back during the primaries to help Jeb?
It could also be said that Cruz wishes the tape had come out earlier during the primaries. That way he would have got the nomination.

This really is the story now I think. The media has been sitting in this story and on the tax return story for months if not years. They could have released it during the primaries but they did not want to derail Trumps candidacy then. In fact they wanted him to be the nominee. Now that he’s the nominee though they do want to derail Trump.
The only non-gay person there was the female, but then, who knows.
5 million bucks is chump change to these crooks. It can easily be paid by the Clintons or any of their backers.
The heat is coming from the DNC, RNC, MSM, Celebs, anybody who can get in front of a microphone. I have never seen pent up fury like this before.
I hope Trump doesn't fold. Just blow it off and stick to the reason his supporters are behind him. Because Washington is dysfunctional and the American people want a change.
