Those who watched this debate and paid attention saw the major reason this election belongs to Trump and this debate belongs to Trump
He is REAL. He speaks from the heart, he speaks from experience, and he speaks with conviction.
1. Trump On Business: Trump won that hands down. Clinton was clearly rattled.
2. Trump on Security: Trump devastating blow about Clinton's cheating Bernie Sanders. She knew it struck to the heart of her democrat voters.
3. Trump on International Affairs: Trump Blew Her Out of the Water. Don't listen to the pundits. Trump's point that any 'friend' should pay their own way was remarkable. His insight into the poverty of the Iran deal was from a man who knew a hostage payment and a buy-off when he saw one. He knew it was a lousy deal.
4. Trump on the Iraq War. He fought BOTH the Moderator and the other Candidate and he took them down. His maybe to Howard Stern was 6 months before the invasion. His conversation with Hannity was regular, and before the war, and Trump forced them to back down.
Its Trump against the moderators, Hillary, Big Media, the pundits, and the GOPe.
****************
You forgot to add: a sitting president, a former Democrat president, a former GOPe president, and the current vice president.
In spite of running against a phalanx of opposition (some of them even using taxpayer resources to fight him), Trump is still winning!
Did anyone else notice that her eyes turned red a number of times like she was crying and then she'd do that thing with her mouth that she does?
He took her down flat out.
On Economy, on Security, and on International.
She was a C+ performance at best
Holt evidently thinks tax returns, Obama’s birth certificate, and Hillary being a female candidate for president are more important to ask about than the real problems that we face, many of which are serious and even becoming existential.
They already have. FNC was terrible. That Dana Perino is a little Trump hating bitch. She came out blasting him.
Please see my comment #32. My conclusion is similar to yours.
Hillary promised executive amnesty to 40 million illegals
in first 100 days. This proves Hillary is 1 million times worse than Obama.
And Hillary plans to dissolve the U.S. border first 100 days:
that means 10s of millions of more voters for Hillary/socialism. Hillary is worse than ObAMA AND Chavez combined. If Hillary wins America is done and will become Venezuela . They have no food nor medicine in Venezuela now because of socialism. it doesnt work. first Hillary will implement single payer healthcare. Google it. its true . and all that dont do everything to stop Hilliary its what they are doing is destroying America.
Trump outlined his immigration policy in a speech. Ann coulter said that was the greatest speech she ever heard and I agree. why dont you all read it or see it? All Americans have to unite to defeat Hillary the communist = Chavez
Help spread all this message above to all Americans . Hillary is 1 million times worse than Obama .
Perino is a Bush/Clinton supporter.
She’s not worth listening to.
Bump
It was as if Holt was only interviewing Trump.
Exactly.
Holt was another biased moderator.
Every interchange with Trump was in opposition
I remember when Donald Trump came out against the war in Iraq. It kinda pissed me off at the time, but in retrospect, what exactly did we gain by going in?
Again Trump was right.
If we are going to go into an oil rich nation, we might as well take the oil. Now ISIS has the oil and Iraq is poised to be overrun first by ISIS and then by Iran.
When you look at what was actually said in the debate, I think you are right, Trump won hands down. But Hillary had all the talking points down. I suspect that she had the questions in advance.
People say that Trump should prepare more for the next debate. From a college debate standpoint, that might be a good idea. But the refreshing thing about Trump is that he is not a polished debater or a wonky politician.
Trump also needs to stop getting sidetracked into talking about his business deals. That puts the audience to sleep.
Good list of advice for Trump.
Please see my thoughts on the debate (comment #32). We both had some constructive advice for Trump.
Looking for the “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” moment — the one thing people will remember.
Holt introduced the candidates, they shook each other’s hand, then they went over to shake Holt’s hand.
He spoke to them in a very low tone, probably thinking no one could hear him. But I picked it up. He said, “Mrs. Clinton, good luck. Mr. Trump, good to see you.”
From the very beginning, his bias was showing.
I’m buying it.
Also, Trump did this as a "feeling out" debate to probe the way she reacts to everything he says. I expect a quite different Trump at the second debate, since he knows how both Martha Raddatz and Anderson Cooper will ask questions and moderate on their own (Trump likely knows Cooper well, probably because they've met at social functions in the New York City area many times).
You got that right. Not a single question about her lies to congress, the corruption, the Clinton Foundation. Trump should have said that he will release his tax returns when Hillary Clinton releases the transcripts of all the speeches she was paid over a half million dollars to give to companies like Goldman Sachs.
Yes we are on the same page. Hillary did better than I thought she would just by showing up and not collapsing or going into a coughing fit for the entire debate. The Donald performed pretty much like he did in the primary debates. He won most or all of the online polls after those debates and he appears to be winning most or all of the online polls after this debate.
Looking forward to President Trump, but not looking forward the the huge mess of exploded liberal heads all over the streets. Yuck!
