So glad to read other ppl saying the same kinds of things about Powell. I called him a whiny bitch earlier, a malicious gossip, due in part to reading his own words, where he talks to another guy about having to have a tantrum to get some attention from Clinton’s minions; crybabies about not being able to charge a high enough fee; calls white people poor white trash; etc etc.
I keep thinking about how Americans trust a man like him to be better than the rest, because he’s responsible for so many lives, and leading from a position of strength—to find out what he’s really like, makes his military leadership very suspect, and his character lacking.
Powell got his big boost from RWR and promotions from
the Bushes. That explains why he became a Republican.
He had almost no identify with the philosophy of any
wing of the party. He was befriended by powerful
Republicans, that’s all. If you think about it the
same is true for weakling Arnold Swartzenegger.
