Jesus Created Marijuana, And It Should Be Legal
Patheos ^ | Sept. 8, 2016 | Benjamin L. Corey

If you grew up during the era of big wheels, horrid hair styles, and the Reagan administration, you probably grew up thinking that green plant you see above you was a really dangerous item. This is especially true if you grew up a Christian during that era.

I mean, it was the lowest level “drug” on the list of drugs, but it was the gateway drug. This gateway drug was to be especially feared, because it represented the slippery slope to every other drug or form of immorality. Even trying it once could result in you no longer wanting to wear your denim skirt. Try it twice and you might swap out Sandi Patty for Motley Crue. Three times? Well, by the third time you wouldn’t even want it anymore, because you’ll be in a dark ally buying an even harder drug with the money you got from pawning your wedding ring.

It was all a bunch of nonsense.

All these years later, it is still a bunch of nonsense.

I should probably also mention that I do support the legalization of marijuana, because I don’t believe that people who smoke pot should be put in prison.

I used to smoke pot, but I no longer do.

I also believe that alcohol is a far worse drug than pot.

Just stating for the record.

“And no, deliberately altering your consciousness to this degree is NOT a victimless crime.”

So any time someone gets really drunk or takes one of countless Rx drugs that impair WAY more that pot, it should automatically be a crime?

How do you know the “huge majority” of Rx pill users aren’t also faking it and just trying to get high? I know several pharmacists and heard that is exactly the case with opiods and stimulants according to their ‘lying eyes’. They can’t prove anything though and speculating on people’s personal lives will hurt people who actually need the pills.

Instead of growing a nanny police state to speculate on every aspect of people’s private lives, wouldn’t it be more reasonable to only prosecute REAL crimes against actual people/property? i.e. Things like Murder, rape, assault and theft.

What we have now is a bloody slippery slope that will eventually lead to even “bad” thoughts being outlawed to “save” all of us from ourselves. Once you opened the barndoor of outlawing people eating their own plants on their own property, anything could be legislated. Even frickin lemonade stands...

Which section of the Constitution delegates control over intrastate marijuana regulation to Congress?

Do you support the Tenth Amendment?

Simple questions, but I don't expect a straight answer.

Not to mention horses that, in turn, create fresh yummy road apples.

I will give you my straight answer...

NONE and YES...

I say shrink size of Federal government immediately by simply giving up their stranglehold on States Rights and eliminate half the federal government... Simply do the job the Constitution mandates and provide security for our country including our borders!

What is your point dware? Genesis 3:18 is a curse. People write that parsha but forget there is also below. We're fallen man and must toil between good and evil. We have no idea what is was like in the Garden or before the days of Noah. I wish people would remember our planet is fallen. We have to figure what is good and evil. Be careful the thorns and thistles thee smoketh/ingest:

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Is it illegal to own uranium in its natural state?

I don’t know, I’m just asking...

“It is still schedule 1 and should remain there.”

As someone who turned to medical cannabis at age 54 out of desperation I can assure you it should NOT!!!

“We can all see, with our own lyin’ eyes, that the huge majority of the medical pot users just want to get high.”

Wow, are you actually this ignorant or do you have to work at it? As someone who turned to medical cannabis because nothing else would help me cope with anti-depressant withdrawal syndrome I can assure you this is NOT the case. Rather than spew prohibition-nanny state propaganda you might want to educate yourself.

Vote Trump 2016

God created cyanide, arsenic, ricin, sarin gas, strychnine, and mustard gas too. Libs should imbibe on these too according to the author’s logic.

You can own it, but you can’t legally process it without multiple licenses and permits .. and even then I think there are limits to how much and what type you can own.

The DEA says that marijuana has no clinical use.

Even if that statement was true, since when did the totalitarian low IQ thugs at the DEA have any expertise in medical and pharmocological research?

The globalists, banksters and puppet politicians are public enemy #1,but those working as bureaucrats for state and federal agencies are equally guilty of destroying this nation. We need to stand up to these thugs via jury nullification. We need to identify bureaucrats and ostracize them from society.

I just love the way my husband has to confabulate memories of our children’s childhoods because he was high and had an altered reality caused by his daily pot “habit”. Our grown-up kids know he’s full of it when he makes up events from the past.

I am glad my kids didn’t have 2 pot-head parents.

I worked with 2 people that could not quit even though they knew they would lose their jobs. Company gave 6 mos notice of testing.

We have applicants show up to be drug tested that are positive for THC.

They can't quit even though their livelihood is on the line.
