40 parts per million. Wow! 1 part per million per year, except last year when it went up a whopping 1.5ppm. CO2 in the atmosphere has gone from 360ppm to 400ppm. Citizens of the world have been scammed out of 5 trillion dollars fighting the CO2 boogey man. It's all about the money.. Eco-profiteering...

I think that the concentration of CO2 changing 1ppm/year would be called a natural fluctuation. Sure doesn't sound like something to panic over..

CO2 in the atmosphere constitutes 400 parts per million.
That equates to .04 percent. Or to put it another way, 99.96 percent of the atmosphere is gases other than CO2.

I have always like Michael Crichton's response:

"...Imagine the composition of the Earth’s atmosphere as a football field. Most of the atmosphere is nitrogen. So, starting from the goal line, Nitrogen takes you all of the way to the seventy-eight-yard line. and most of what’s left is oxygen. Oxygen takes you to the ninety-nine-yard line. Only one yard to go. But most of what remains is the intert gas Argon. Argon brings you within three and a half inches of the goal line. That’s pretty much the thickness of the chalk stripe, folks. And how much of the remaining three inches is carbon dioxide? One inch. that’s how much CO2 we have in our atmosphere. One inch in a hundred-yard football field … You are told that carbon dioxide has increased in the last fifty years. Do you know how much it has increased, on our football field? It has increased by three-eights of an inch – less than the thickness of a pencil. It’s a lot more carbon dioxide, but it’s a minuscule change in our total atmosphere. Yet you are asked to believe that this tiny change has driven the entire planet into a dangerous warming period..."

I want to know who the hell decided todays standards of everything is the ideal point anyway?

Aren’t all the libs pot heads? Just need to tell them that all the indoor pot growers are opening a bottle of CO2 to keep their plants living in a 700ppm atmosphere... Maybe they will shut the hell up!

I ask all Climate Change believers two simple questions:

1. What is the earth's ideal temperature? 2. Are we getting closer to or further from that ideal temperature? I've never yet had anyone answer either question which proves them incapable of having even a simple conversation about the subject.

A more fundamental question is simply, “What temperature should it be?” If they can not answer what the optimum temperature should be, how can they conclude it’s either getting too hot or cold?

We often are told about the expected increase of disease and death if temperatures rise a few degrees. I ask them: "If the rise of 5°F is going to lead to all these horrible diseases, how come the disease rate in Sacramento, CA is not higher than in San Francisco though Sacramento has a ~10°F higher mean temperature? Why is the disease rate in Florida lower than in Maine? What is the health risk when somebody from Buffalo goes on vacation in Arizona? How come disease rates are higher in winter than in summer?

The reality is that, if global temperatures rise a few degrees, the only inhabited place in the world that will be hotter than ever experienced before is the currently hottest inhabited place. Other places will simply rise to the temperature of other currently warmer inhabited places.

Just another scare tactic that is easily defeated by simple logic that unfortunately is never practiced by the true believers.

Of course the real scam is the corruption of global surface temperature measurements due to encroachment of heat-generating structures and people on many monitoring stations and the decommissioning of rural and remote stations. Atmospheric temperatures at a few km altitude measured by satellites have not risen over a long time.

None of the measurements matter, whether it is global warming, global climate change, global Fill In The Blank. It is not about anything stated, it is about power and control and the next crisis that can be manufactured to justify more Marxist control over every aspect of the lives of the little people by people who jet around the world violating every restriction they place on the rest of us.

Ask them another simple question: “Why is warming necessarily 100% bad?”.

It all depends on what kind of warming. If we have milder winters, but summers stay about the same, then that’s “warming”, but not a bad warming. If Canada becomes warmer and suddenly can produce much more agriculturally, is that bad or good?

The “Global Warming” religion is based on the idea that ANY change from the current norm, is necessarily 100% bad.

The heat island effect is where temperature measuring stations are effected by all the asphalt, roofs and other man made things.
I never hear that discussed.

Ask the weatherman for an accurate weather report........
They cannot do so. So why believe anyone who says the temps will rise (always decades away).

Ask the climate idiots just what is their end goal. Ask them. They don’t have an answer. They don’t know. They are merely riding the liberal Luddite train.

Ask them what 1800ppm, which was the sustained level for millions of years, would do to the Earth. They don’t know.

I prefer to give the idiots a simple multiple guess question that they NEVER get right:

What is the approximate carbon dioxide percentage of the atmosphere?:

a) Less than 1%
b) 14%
c) 41%
d) Greater than 99%
