Face to face with a Charging Moose

Not many hunters get a chance to film a moose hunting scene like this one. Watch what happens as this moose charges up to these hunters.

This moose came charging up like he owned the space, but the hunter was ready for him. I was impressed by how calm and collected the hunter was throughout the hunt. Not many people could keep their cool like this guy did.

It took two shots to take down this huge bull. He went down fighting and didn’t stop struggling until the second shot ended it. That was a very close encounter! See the video here.

A suppressor? Not as restricted as they used to be.

In Northern Europe (where this one was taken), they call them “elch” (elk). Favored caliber is a 6.5x55 Swedish, the approximate equivalent of the .260 Remington, which is one helluva good round for deer.

I remember the first time I saw a moose.
It was summer in Vermont.
A couple of cows were in a hay field, about ten feet off the road, happily munching away as I drove slowly by.
Them things was big and UGLY!

Between the Duck Billed Platypus and the moose, I am convinced God has a wicked sense of humor.

No kidding. Look at and listen to ducks! Possibly the goofiest sounding critter on the planet, and hilarious to watch.

Thank you Lord for all you give us.

I never had much contact with ducks, but they do look odd and sound awful.

“Thank you Lord for all you give us.”

Amen!

Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.
