Health Reform: This week Illinois' insurance regulator said ObamaCare premiums in the state will jump as high as 55%. The Obama administration's response to this and other news of massive rate hikes: Don't worry. Be happy.
Anyone shopping for ObamaCare coverage in Illinois this fall is in for a big shock. The average increase for cheap Bronze plans is likely 44%. It's 45% for the lowest-cost Silver plan, and 55% for the cheapest Gold plan.

See above. I’m ready.
Roger that. And I’m too old to give a damn anymore. See also my tag line.
Old men are still capable.
I still stand in awe of how ahead-of-the-curve you were a decade ago. You saw it before I did.
Was snooping around a bit. 75% of all healthcare costs are for treating chronic conditions. The cost comes to approximately $5K a year per person. Over 60% of people in the 45-64 age group have at least one chronic condition. Over 30% have 2 or more chronic conditions
Which insurance never pays for with the $6500 deductible.
That might explain why they have trouble getting people into the exchanges at the higher income levels between 250% to 400% FPL. Even if they get modest subsidies, they probably can't afford both the premiums and the deductibles if they have a chronic condition. Deductibles on silver plans aren't all that wonderful either.
When will America tire of the LIAR Party? It is so disgusting.
That's it, from now on Trump should call the DemocRAT Party the LIAR Party!
Welfare gets seven levels better than me for free with no deductible (which sinks insurance).
90% of CA get subsidies causing them to pay under a hundred because the state is sinking.
After taxes you have to earn under $17,000 to get that, so 90% of CA residents don’t make money.
Are you talking about the Republican party that promised to repeal, or defund? Or the Democrat party that pushed it through?
The term liar party
describes them both quite well.
Medicaid isn’t free if your over 55 and have assets. People in managed medicaid plans could have their estates get hit pretty hard when they die, even if they drop dead at the kitchen table without using the system. The state will try to recover the cost of the monthly fee paid to the company managing the plan. The fees may not be much different than obamacare premiums.
That makes the suck worse.
