They spent a lot of time building a strong presidency, always expecting those powers to solely be used for them. If Trump is sitting there, they might not be too big to fail.

100% with you on that! I will never use the term “Democratic” when referring to that damned party of criminals!
I would prefer ‘bolshevik’ but I guess that term is antiquated now.

If it were the Russians that have done any of the hacking, I am convinced of it.
On several occasions, Mr. Putin is on record stating that ‘if Clinton is elected, there will come a war’.
In those records, he is quite agitated, and quite animated in his statements, which signal to me his sincerity, never mind the manner of his diction of speech. (The latter is something only those familiar with the Russian language and mannerisms might pick up.)
He spoke quite respectively of the Mutually Assured Destruction ideology of Reagan, and the ‘balance’ brought thereof.
IMHO, I see Mr. Putin ‘aiding’ Mr. Trump, as he might let on, in an effort to bring some present day ‘balance’, which with Clinton would all be gone.

It’s official name is “Democratic Party”, I think. Really does not matter what name they use, as we know what they really are. We know they are not democratic at all, but calling them “Democrat” implies the same thing.
I like the suggestion of someone downthread— let’s just call them the Bolsheviks. Of course, they would probably wear that like a badge of honor.

As far as what Putin HAS been saying, and in his determination, we have become ‘Nyeh kulturny’. The Russian phrase depicts a society without mores of any kind, so social graces, no respect for national identity, no attempt to make the country better.
With the current President we have, society not willing to step and squash all the looting and violence, the way that our senior citizens are getting raped by the government and by the thugs in the streets, it is no wonder Putin feels this way.
(It is also a shame that America broadcasts such an image to the world, too.)
