Clinton Job Plan (ray76)
Aug 14, 2016 | Ray76

Posted on 08/14/2016 2:39:53 PM PDT by Ray76

According to Clinton's website the key elements of her 100-Day Jobs Plan are:

Omitted from her plan is HOW.

How much money does she plan to spend to "put people to work rebuilding America"?

How does she plan to "revitalize hard-hit manufacturing communities"?

What are the specifics of her "exit tax"?

etc

Regarding "clean energy" and "modernizing our power grid" see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3458986/posts

Watching the Olympics with an ad from H-> on this that mentioned the “exit tax” and “job creation.” I don’t get how the .gov creates any job except by extracting taxes to add to the bureaucracy. This is flim-flamonomics or grifternomics, nothing is rooted in any recognizable reality. This is more like three-card monte, IMO.

Omitted from her plan is HOW.

How ?

Throw taxpayer money into a large kitty fund, then steal all the money from it.

Also “How” is she going to get all the necessary environmental, etc, permits to do all this? Didn’t we learn from Obama the myth of the ‘shovel ready’ project?

Guess what? The Infrastructure is always crumbling somewhere. From past history, three things can be said about Hillary’s jobs plan:

1. It will be highly inefficient (like $1M per job, if not more)
2. All these jobs will disappear once the Government money runs out.
3. It will make the deficit even worse, leaving the taxpayer on the hook. But, so what? There is compassion these daze for just about everyone but the US taxpayer.

We will make companies that move overseas pay a new “exit tax” so they think twice about avoiding paying their fair share,

This will just lead foreign companies to buy the US companies to "move overseas". DERP!

“Investments” mean tax dollars.

A President can’t “create” jobs. He can set the table for job creation to exist.

“Clean” energy really means alternate energy, which the rest of the world is leaving.

I wonder what taxes she would cut ?

Yeah, sure.

Regarding "clean energy" - these five posts explain that wind power is not as "clean" as you might think, is systemically less efficient, produces far more expensive electricity and is likely to do so for a long time, and can not survive without taxpayer subsidies.

From the IEEE - To Get Wind Power You Need Oil

From Utah State University Institute of Political Economy - Reliability of Renewable Energy: Wind (PDF file)

From Scientific American - Deep De-Carbonization Would Increase Electricity Costs 20–90 Percent, Says J.P. Morgan

From Forbes - Electricity Prices Soaring In Top Wind Power States

From "Business Record" (Des Moines, Iowa) - MidAmerican Energy customers rattled by electric rate hike

This demolishes one of the planks of her plan.

Same old BS that has been tried and failed from the time of the Great Depression. All the money spent on FDRs make work programs did little or nothing to either jump start the economy or create anything more than temporary jobs. Hillary will do no better with her make work pipe dream. The green energy boondoggle is simply a black hole for tax money. For Hillary to say she is for cutting red tape and bureaucracy that hinders small businesses is laughable. Her green energy mandates and backing a $15 minimum wages are death to small business.
