Rutenberg's writing in this article described Obama too. And we saw how THEY 'covered' him, and currently covering for Hillary. Please read the whole article.

A point of view contrary to theirs was a trigger. It caused them to discard objectivity.
Got it.

I understand where the “Trump is a nationalist” meme comes from, but I’m at a loss regarding the racism claim. Or is that an attempt to get one last large purchase on the Racism card?

Trump is testing the New York Lies to see if even one printed sentence survives the liberal/Clinton/Obama/Soros tarbrush.

If you're a working journalist who believes HilLIARy is a corrupt lying POS whose incompetence got our ambassador killed and whose cozying-up to the worst Islamic terrorists destabilized the entire middle east and helped the muslim brotherhood give rise to ISIS and whose lifelong enabling of her rapist husband and connections to many ‘arkancides’ makes her the most evil person ever to run for office, then how do you cover her?
Do you give her every utterance fawning praise because you, like her, are a budding young socialist (oops, I mean ‘progressive’) and so its OK if your side does it?
Or is it that you just don't believe any of those nasty things about the wonderful HilLIARy?

Yeah!
I remember how Big Media was all fair and balanced covering Romney vs. 0bama. Oh wait ... they weren’t.
Maybe it was McCain vs. 0bama? Nope.
Bush vs. Kerry? Bush vs. Gore?
Nope.
Dole vs. Clinton? Bush vs. Clinton? Bush vs. Dukakis?
Nope.
Maybe they were fair and balanced reporting Reagan vs. Mondale? Reagan vs. Carter?
HELL NO. They hated Reagan with a vitriolic, white-hot loathing.
Ford? Nixon? Goldwater?
Hah!
When have Big Media EVER been fair or objective?
NEVER, in my lifetime.

If youre a working journalist and you believe that Donald J. Trump is a demagogue playing to the nations worst racist and nationalistic tendencies,...how the heck are you supposed to cover him?By just publishing the Democrat talking points of the day, of course!
Of course, the racism bit is a total lie, but what is wrong with nationalism? We need a hell of a lot more of THAT!

[If] you believe that Donald J. Trump is a demagogue playing to the nations worst racist and nationalistic tendencies
But that a perfect illustration of the problem right there ... that's a personal opinion, and it wouldn't even come up IF the journalist was truly objective - but the fact he's already making judgments about his reporting subject shows he's NOT unbiased.
And THEN he uses judgments derived from his own personal bias to justify his biased reporting! The malicious idiocy never stops with these clowns!!
Media 2016, what a joke

It is called advocacy journalism and they have been practicing it long before Trump came along. The cannons of journalism are in the trash.
