Their plan is to make gun ownership more expensive and more restrictive with such things as mandatory smart guns, storage requirements, universal background checks that prohibit even handing a gun to a friend at the range, 5000% taxes on ammo, and eventually a prohibition on transferring any gun to anyone for any reason, even in wills. Their aim is to gradually boil the frog alive by increasing the heat ever so slowly.

You forgot to mention GUN REGISTRY. Can never confiscate until they know where all the guns are. I agree they start out with making guns prohibitively expensive so Joe 6-pack can no longer afford to purchase the gun OR the ammo. Tax the crap out of it. Bloomberg is running a campaign of ballot initiatives in selected states where he hopes to have the electorate vote for taxing ammo out of existence.

Stock up now - many calibers are still plentiful at our local retail shops, but come Nov 10 I suspect there will be lines waiting for the doors to open. The rule of law, or lack there of, will be problematic for gun confiscation as it has been for dems over regulation. The over regulation or restrictions on guns will fuel a black market that already exists. It will not only disarm law abiding citizens and criminalize those that don’t comply, it will also increase the ease of access for the truly criminal element. Think of what prohibition did for the black market.

There is good money for gun smiths and basement ammunition makers today that do it as a hobby. Imagine what those skills will be worth if Hillary is elected.
