At least Trump won fair and square

scum and villany b

Say what you want, but Donald Trump won the GOP Presidential nomination fair and square. democrats were disdainful of their constituency. Wikileaks has released a flood of DNC emails and they show that the DNC rigged the system against Sanders.

The cascade of internal DNC emails released Friday by WikiLeaks underscore what Sen. Bernie Sanders and his advisers have long claimed: The DNC appeared to have its finger on the scale for rival Hillary Clinton through the long nominating contest.

In some ways, that is not entirely surprising, because Clinton is the institutional choice of the Democrats and because DNC members are the party’s establishment. But the national committee’s role is to maintain strict neutrality during the primaries, and the emails indicate that did not happen.

The emails also paint a picture that confirms what has long been assumed, that of a DNC more or less isolated from key elements of the party — including the White House — and left to the devices of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.), its long-standing chair. Her swift resignation, under pressure from Clinton’s team, will help move her out of the way, but the potential for more embarrassing emails being released this week and beyond remains.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was waist deep in this:
Wasserman Schultz wrote in May that Sanders "isn't going to be president" and in April that he “has no understanding of” the Democratic Party.
Sanders supporters did not take kindly to this. They booed DWS off of the stage in Philadelphia
As she spoke, people stood on chairs holding up signs that said "emails," "No!" and "Thanks for the 'help,' Debbie."

Others repeatedly shouted: “Shame.”

DNC Committee members made it clear it's all about clearing the path for a woman:

The Democratic National Committee is 'clearing a path' for Hillary Clinton to be its presidential nominee because its upper power echelons are populated with women, according to a female committee member who was in Las Vegas for Tuesday's primary debate.

Speaking on the condition that she isn't identified, she told Daily Mail Online that the party is in the tank for Clinton, and the women who run the organization decided it 'early on.'

The committeewoman is supporting one of Hillary's rivals for the Democratic nomination, and said she spoke freely because she believes the former Secretary of State is benefiting from unfair favoritism inside the party.

Clinton aims to be the first female to occupy the Oval Office, and 'the party's female leaders really want to make a woman the next president,' the committeewoman said, rattling off a list of the women who she said are the 'real power' in the organization.

'I haven't heard anyone say we should make Hillary undergo a trial by fire,' she added. 'To the contrary, the women in charge seem eager, more and more, to have her skate into the general [election].'

Sure, there were rumblings at the GOP Convention about changing rules but it was suppressed and it was very public. There was not the skulduggery committed by the democrats. DWS was left to her own devices and she screwed the pooch. There were racist and bigoted emails passed around the DNC.

The DNC had been working to Dump Debbie for some time but their hand was forced as the Convention approached. The DNC did apologize to Sanders, who really ought to apologize to his supporters fro selling them out. Clinton was interviewed by Scott Pelley for 60 minutes on Sunday but immediately put on her jackass in the headlights look when asked about the emails:

It wasn’t because the GOP didn’t try to sabotage Trump every step of the way.

Give him credit, Priebus saw the light pretty quickly and got on the Trump train. He knows Trump will pull voters in for the downticket races and that he can win, which Cruz or Kasich could never do.

Debbie Wassername just caved. If Priebus had done the same thing we’d have seen a Bush coronation last week.

I wonder how different things would be had Bernie won California. Looking at the statistics I think it is highly probable that voter fraud tipped the scale almost 20 percentage points to Hill.

Big difference with Republican race was the lack of superdelegates. If we’d had superdelegates, the GOPe would have installed their preferred candidate (Jeb, I assume).

I agree.

Trump did not win fair and square. There was cheating, fraud and back-room deals every step of the way but he won anyway.
I hope that he cleans house in the GOP. I'm sure that there were just as many interesting emails concerning Jeb from the RNC as we are now enjoying regarding the DNC and Hillary.

Never has a greater demonstration of Machine Politics been found.

When the Clintons joined with the Obamas, the White House and the entire DNC they could have nominated Elmer Fudd.

But they left a lot of pissed voters in their wake.

Imagine how we would be if the RNC was able to foist Jeb Bush upon us...as was the plan.

That’s true, Trump played tough but fair. Hillary? Never in her life. This is the woman the democrats had to fire from the Watergate committee because she cheated there.
