Warren to La Raza conference: We won't build Trump's 'stupid wall'

As Hillary Clinton rolled out her running mate Tim Kaine in Miami Saturday, erstwhile VP pick contender Elizabeth Warren was also in Florida, slamming Donald Trump's "stupid wall" at the National Council of La Raza conference in Orlando.

The Massachusetts senator drew a clear divide between Trump and the country's Hispanic population, telling attendees that Hispanics were disproportionately hit by the 2008 housing crisis while accusing the Republican nominee of profiting from it.

"We will never build Donald Trump's stupid wall," she told the crowd to cheers during her 20-minute address, adding that "diversity has made this country strong."

Previously, Warren had tweeted at Trump saying he should catch her speech, and "I don't think you'll like it."

Warren later returned to her Twitter feed to criticize Trump's economic policies, following up on the comments made at the conference.

"@realDonaldTrump? He cheered on the 2008 housing crisis so he could scoop up real estate on the cheap. Trump thinks only about himself," she tweeted Saturday evening.

Warren also praised the newly formalized Democratic ticket,

".@timkaine started his career helping families fight housing discrimination. That's because Tim has always had a good heart," she tweeted.

And she praised the running mates during her own event, saying: "Hillary Clinton must be the next president of the United States, and Tim Kaine must be the next vice president of the United States. Not 'can,' not 'should,' we must make them."

Neither Clinton or Trump was invited to speak at the conference this year, according to the Orlando Sun Sentinel report.

The Democrats are not even pretending to represent American citizens anymore.
They are all in as the illegal alien party.

Princess Spreading Bull seems to forget all that money she made flipping foreclosures caused by same said crisis.

I sure would like to know if Warren and ALL HER FAMILY MEMBERS had to surrender all their pass words to hillary if Warren was being considered for the VP slot. We will probably never know. What a hypocrite hillary and the whole democratic party is. Absolutely sickening.

"... Hispanics were disproportionately hit by the 2008 housing crisis..."

That's the first I ever heard that.

"The Secure Fence Act is already law."

People tend to forget that and I always wonder if Trump knows it was never repealed. The funding was never authorized by the Obama, Reid, and Pelosi socialist Fedgov.

Someone needs to get to Trump's advisors to let him know so he will stop talking about making Mexico paying for a "Wall". Such rhetoric is ammunition for the Dims.

I'd be happy for my tax dollars to be redirected to a patrolled double fence like we have in California. It reduced crossings by over 95%. That's why Arizona became such a problem, and still is.

A substantial Fence was funded as far back as 2006-07. The money was wasted or never spent. Trump does not need a new Fence/Wall funding... Just act on the law as it stands to get started. And I have a plan for a Wall that could be built by the Corps of Engineers and the Navy Seabees using Military Funding and Tunnel Boring Machines half submerged ... To be used on long stretches of unoccupied flat portions of the border...
